Role Summary
The Education + Event Manager (Retail + Professional) excels at building and delivering best-in-class education and event strategies across Premium Retailers and Professional/Salon channels. This role will create training curriculum, education materials, and execute in-person and virtual trainings and events. Reporting into the Field & Education Director, this dynamic role will work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Retail/Salon partners to drive brand awareness and sales through education and events.
Role + Responsibilities

Own the creation and execution for all education and event needs across retail and PRO

Present and host virtual and in-person trainings

Partner with marketing on product knowledge to create a vision for retail in-store activations and salon activations and content

Cultivate relationships and own communication with the education and event teams at Sephora, Ulta, BSG/Cosmoprof, and Salon Centric to drive best-in-class education and event opportunities

Create strategy for all education and event opportunities, work with director of field on budget management, report ROI and data analytics on events, trade shows, and education

Build training materials such as PRO digital modules, training manuals, and in-store collateral

Partner with marketing on the brand voice and creative for the vision on all collateral and assets

Own education and event budget and track all spend against the budget

Manage product comps and gratis shipments to distributors and field team in collaboration with Operations, including creating shipping labels

Create, source, and manage logistics for all field team education and event needs (collateral, gratis, samples, etc)

Partner with Marketing to conceptualize and execute event and trade show strategies that create brand awareness and loyalty

Own relationship with 3rd party vendors on booth execution and trade show logistics

Schedule and coordinate in-store events for Ulta + Sephora

Partner with BSG + Salon Centric on education plans and scheduling classes

Manage training product gratis, event in a box, and all retailer programs in relation to education and events

Prepare one-pagers for launches and promotions

Maintain and update key sales and marketing calendars for visibility on activations

Create content for retailers and distributors

Consumer facing content – advisor to ensure application is correct on set

Coordinate and manage all logistics for trade shows and field events

Partner with Field & Education Director on budget planning
Requirements
-
5+ years of experience in Retail and/or PRO education and event management
-
Experience working with Sephora, Ulta, Salon Centric, and/or Cosmoprof is a plus!

Proven track record with successful ideation and execution of education and events

Experience building education curriculum and executing in-person education

A passion for brand building & relationship building

Proficient using Microsoft Suite

Travel up to 40% for trade shows, distributor meetings, and field events traveling on the weekends required as needed

We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, skills and in comparison, to internal incumbents currently in similar roles. Pay Range: $84,000 - $87,500 salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role. In addition, Wella Company provides a rich variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
