THE ROLE 

We are actively looking for our future Manager of Amazon reporting to the Head of Amazon. You will be responsible for supporting and managing key brands within the Amazon sales channel via data-driven insights and execution to sustainably grow our business faster via key retail initiatives like accurate forecasting, content, conversion drivers, and promotional activities.

The Manager of Amazon will play a pivotal role in interpreting business results and in building specific, executable plans to drive your brand’s business performance. This individual will have a deep understanding of Amazon and will be pro-active in leveraging data to inform business strategies. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, motivated, and strategic to drive sell-in and sell-out goals effectively.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Maintain and optimize catalog across all Amazon from a retail and supply chain perspective (code changes, supply Out-of-stock, accurate forecasting).
  • Analyze and interpret on-going business/product performance and action recommendations to improve key KPIs (net revenue, consumption, traffic, average selling price, etc.)
  • Develop net revenue targets during annual planning, monitor and develop sales plans to reach those goals with tangible building blocks.
  • Leverage and manage external retail agency to ensure content and catalog excellence is maintained with ability to prioritize tasks, timelines, and overall objectives. 
  • Manage demand planning and supply chain processes to maximize in-stock/fill rates.
  • Support brand/sales initiatives and drive sales through best-in-class PDPs and brand stores.
  • Partner with brand teams to ensure all Amazon needs are met and deliver category-leading experience to customers.
  • Liaise with Amazon CSM team and Wella AMZ team to execute day-to-day business operations and across key sales events.
  • Evaluate profitability across promotions, brands, and potential initiatives to determine impact across P&L.
  • Support new launches via merchandiser and agency to ensure product setup is complete and best-in-class launch steps are taken throughout launch. 
  • Run A/B tests and building reports/case studies with learnings to refine strategy further.
  • Perform site audits, competitor analysis, striving for category leadership
  • Continual audits to assess areas of opportunity to drive Net Revenue consumption and apply best practices across all brands.

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ideally 4-5 years of e-commerce sales, category management or operations experience - previous experience with large e-retailer and/or Amazon a must
  • Proficient at analyzing and taking action based on Amazon Brand Analytics reporting
  • Proven track record of delivering on ambitious growth targets
  • Experience in consumer / professional goods – beauty or fashion industry a plus
  • Strong Excel skills and knowledge of analytical tools like PowerBI or Tableau
  • Ideal experience with: Vendor Central, Amazon Ads, AMC, Seller Central, SAP/BW, and/or Bynder

 

 SPECIALIZED SKILLS REQUIRED:

 

  • Acute attention to detail with strong numerical and analytical capabilities
  • Proficient with Excel and experience creating reports
  • High degree of commercial and business acumen with the ability to translate data into actionable insights/actions
  • Highly organized, structured, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey insights and actions to leadership
  • Able to see the connectivity between data, trends and how to use them in building go-forward strategies/business cases that can deliver against internal business and external customer objectives.
  • Motivated, pro-active, and able to work independently as well as part of a team

 

We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Pay Range: $85,000-$108,000 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role. In addition, Wella Company provides a rich variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance, life, and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
