THE ROLE
Strong internal communicator that works closely with distributor principal/management and Wella multifunction teams to ensure OPI & Wella remain market leaders. Strategically plans and executes Joint Business Plans with a strong bias toward ROI with key assigned distributors. Develops, forecasts, and executes successful long-term business building strategies, leveraging industry trends that meet or exceed assigned quotas/budgets. Analyze business trends and customer competitive activity to optimize OPI & Wella offerings and Brand Equity. Works closely with Education and Marketing Teams to develop, drive, and execute brand development activity specific to the Regional Distributors Channel. Strategically driving the P&L while optimizing exposure, driving trial, conversion, and overall consumption of the All Brands in VMD Channel
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategically and tactically manage key joint business planning priorities and develop a positive business with a strong bias toward ROI and P&L mentality.
- Additional tasks, duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
- Monitor current industry trends and develop channel specific activations to drive sales through conversion and systemization events at distributor stores
- Manage execution and logistics around Regional Distributor exclusive in-market activities
- Work with Marketing and Education Teams to develop and execute in market activity to maximize our exposure driving interest, trial and conversion.
- Review monthly sales and inventory data where available, seeking out opportunities to create sell thru/area specific programs
- Management (turns, overstocks, defectives) functions for assigned Account(s)
- Manage effectiveness & efficiency of all assigned customer business development funds maximizing ROI
- Establish and coordinate all sales, education, and account centric marketing components, and inventory
- Partners with Brand Education and Customer on annual/quarterly education and meeting plans
- Develops and owns Customer relationship and KPI metrics
- Develop the Sales and Product Knowledge capability on all Brands for Store Employees and Tele-Sales Teams
- Target, profile and work to convert key prospective distribution partners into customers and leverage customer centric programs.
- Effectively work with direct manager and multi-functional internal Brand resources to plan and execute strategic plan with excellence.
- Accurately report and forecast the business which would include monthly flow, promotions, initiatives, collections
- Deliver assigned sales & distribution quotas, new item distribution and promotional acceptance to maximize consumption volume focused on sell in and sell thru relationship with Distributor Owners, Managers, DSCs, Store Associates Education Personnel and Salons.
- Works closely with Distributor Management Team (customer) planning and executing sell through activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
- High School Diploma or GED plus 4 years of Sales Management, Category Management or Professional Beauty Industry Sales Experience.
- Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and organizational/time management skills.
- Experience in analyzing data for a multistore chain.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with data from multiple sources, interpret the data and turn into actionable conclusions.
- Proficient in the following systems: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Flexibility to travel a must (minimum 30% or more)
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization
Desirable:
- Bachelor’s Degree plus 3 years (or MBA plus 1 year) of business experience in Sales, Category Management or Professional Salon Beauty Management
- Bilingual Spanish
- National Chain analysis and forecasting unit/revenue volume experience
We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Pay Range: $84,000-$94,000 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role. In addition, Wella Company provides a rich variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
