THE ROLE
The Analyst, Market Planning supports inventory and supply planning activities to meet the OPI market demand plan and strategy. This role assists with analysis, reporting, and coordination between supply chain, commercial, and global deployment teams to help maintain service levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory. The Analyst will focus on data management, reporting, and cross-functional communication to ensure product availability and support business initiatives. Have a focus to ensure excess and obsolete inventory is always not created. Provide regular market facing supply and service analysis including top projected missed dollars and actions plans along with historical analysis and gap to targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Weekly inventory analysis and FR risk outlook preparation, highlighting potential supply gaps and recommending mitigation actions
- Support Manager with analysis on product availability status, including data extraction from JDA/SAP and other sources, and order assessments
- Collaborate with multifunctional teams on brand and channel needs related to product availability and potential risks
- Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly connects with all critical business partners to provide status updates, identify risks, and align on actions
- Create stock reservations for NA and manage allocations when necessary to optimize service and minimize risk of E&O
- Maintain and update reporting dashboards to track service performance, E&O risk, and inventory health across the supply chain
- Conduct root cause analysis for service misses, late orders, and excess inventory, and develop corrective action plans
- Partner with deployment, demand planning, and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate movement of inventory across the network
- Monitor and report on KPIs including service level, fill rate, inventory turns, and gap-to-target metrics; propose improvements where needed
- Identify process efficiencies, reporting automation opportunities, and data quality improvements to streamline supply planning activities
- Support seasonal and promotional planning cycles with supply and inventory risk assessments and recommendations
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
- Education: BA/ BS in Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics or related field
- Experience: 3-5+ years’ experience in supply planning, demand planning, project management, data analytics, and/or production management
- Technical Skills: MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio
- Experience owning measures and improving results
- Strong analytical and project management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
- Communication skills: Ability to communicate clearly, transparently, concisely, and on a timely basis with leadership. Comfortable with dealing with conflict and issue resolution
- Ability to challenge and refine business process and/or data requirements
- Aptitude for problem solving; proven ability to create, implement and measure new processes
- Collaboration Skills: Ability to work collaboratively across different styles. Develop strong partnerships. Must be able to work well with people not physically collocated.
Desirable:
- Education: MBA/MS degree preferred
- Technical Skills: SQL
- CPG industry experience a plus
We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, skills and in comparison to internal incumbents currently in similar roles. Pay Range: $60,000-$75,000 salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role.
