Position Summary:

As the 3PL Logistics Associate Manager you will be responsible for ensuring all orders are shipped out daily from the North Las Vegas 3PL site. Additionally, the 3PL Associate Manager will ensure inventory is accurately maintained and daily activities of the 3PL are monitored and maintained to Wella’s high standard. It is the responsibility of the 3PL Associate Manager to ensure the 3PL performs within budget, while continuously identifying opportunities to reduce costs. The 3PL Associate Manager will manage daily direction setting meetings with the 3PL and lead monthly/quarterly/annual reviews for Wella.  While they should be deeply in touch with their local organization and processes, they need also to be enabled to execute their specific tasks as outlined below and have sufficient capacity to maintain, update and grow their knowledge of systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 3PL Facility Oversight
    • Daily oversight of 3PL operations
    • Monitor and improve KPI’s, identify targets for savings and performance improvement for each distribution channel that ships from the 3PL.
    • Manage communication to 3PL between Customer Service, Order Management, and Sales.
    • Search for, and implement continuous improvement projects across the warehousing operations of the company.
    • Budget and KPI oversight: Participate in review of the 3PL budget, ensuring accurate monthly/quarterly guidance.  Ensure 3PL is meeting KPI's to drive continuous improvement and align with overall performance.
    • Develop and maintain forecasts and cost models including staffing coverage and capacity planning.
    • Monitor adherence to rules, regulations, and procedures. Provide support where necessary to ensure quality and accuracy of work performed.
    • Reconcile 3PL invoices with Finance.
  • Inventory Management
    • Deep understanding of inventory transactions and correlation of the processes between the warehouse management system and the financial software system
    • Lead the inventory analysis and review 3PL cycle counting processes for the site.
    • Monitor the WMS<>SAP interface and daily inventory reconciliation to ensure virtual Inventory Record Accuracy remains under control.
    • Own the site process for stock adjustments, storage location management and lost stock location management.
    • IT Systems & Database Understanding
    • Maintain compliance of all procedures in line with COE and Internal Audit requirements.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain.
  • Experience dealing with stakeholders, leadership, and external influencers.
  • Experience with Parcel, LTL and FTL shipping modes preferred
  • WMS experience required.  Preferably Manhattan, Blue Yonder, or similar
  • SAP operating experience preferred
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Microsoft Suite Proficiency and experience with software applications which include: Excel, Word, Access, Visio, PowerPoint
  • Capable to handling large sets of data – eliminating and understanding outliers, drawing relevant connections and cleansing data for use
  • Ability to work and influence people across a diverse organization as well as external 3rd party logistics providers.
  • Ability to work autonomously, self-motivated to maintain and improve controls within the distribution center.
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical thinker
  • Ability to travel as needed to support department requirements and training

Desirable:

    • Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain, Finance, or related business field required or 3-5 years’ experience in related fields.
    • Three - Five years supervisory experience a plus

 

We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, skills and in comparison to internal incumbents currently in similar roles—pay Range: $67,000-$110,000 salary per year plus bonus. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role.
