Working Student R&D (gn) - Computational Chemistry

THE ROLE
As part of our Wella R&D organization in Darmstadt, Germany, you will support the global Wella business via performing computational chemistry in combination with practical experiments in an analytical lab. Wella is committed to revolutionizing the way of working by adopting and pursuing the latest modelling and AI techniques
This role is temporary limited to 6 -12 month and is suitable for a Master thesis. The successful candidate should have a strong passion to turn measurement data into insights using AI tools and working in an innovation friendly environment within a multifunctional team.
YOUR WORK WILL INCLUDE
- Develop predictive modelling approaches to optimize chemical processes.
- Apply computational chemistry methods to analyse chemical reactions.
- Validate your findings via lab experiments, e.g. by using chromatographic methods as HPLC.
- Document and report the results with high accuracy and share findings to the R&D teams.
- Collaborate seamlessly within the R&D team
- Perform and report accurate and precise your findings
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in computational chemistry and and strong affinity to data analysis
- Ideally knowledge in analytical chemistry and hands on lab work .
- Ideally experiences with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis
- Strong analytical thinking and structured working style
- Collaboration skills, demonstrating proactivity, agility, and initiative. Ability to communicate effectively with partners in the team.
- Good English language skills
