About the Role:

Our R&D division is seeking a motivated and talented working student to participate in an exciting project focused on modernizing our control and data processing software for laboratory instrumentation. The current software, written in the legacy programming environment TestPoint, controls laboratory instruments, moves mechanical parts, and manages data collection and processing. This project aims to convert the existing software into a modern programming language, such as Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW, to improve its functionality, maintainability, and compatibility with current technologies. The successful candidate will play a key role in transforming a critical system used for advanced research and experimentation.

  • Analytical Skills: strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail.
  • Teamwork: ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary R&D team.
  • Communication: strong written and verbal communication skills in English, and able to communicate with the team in German.
