Working Student – Laboratory Science & Product Development
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Working Student to join our laboratory team on a one-year contract. In this role, you will support a wide range of laboratory operations, contributing directly to product testing, analytical evaluations, and prototype development.
This position offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an industrial R&D environment, working alongside experienced scientists and engineers. You will actively participate in daily laboratory routines — from product performance testing to analytical measurements such as pH, viscosity, density, and appearance — and will progressively take ownership of defined projects, including planning, execution, and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory testing using a variety of established scientific and analytical methods.
- Perform and document analytical measurements (e.g., color analysis, spectrometry pH, rheology).
- Analyze and evaluate test results, providing clear documentation and insights.
- Support the development and preparation of product demos and prototypes.
- Assist with raw material ordering and other laboratory administrative tasks.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate data reporting and continuous improvement in testing procedures.

Your Profile
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a related scientific discipline.
- Strong interest in laboratory work and analytical testing.
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Comfortable working independently as well as within a team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ongoing scientific studies, ideally in final year.
- Good practical laboratory skills. Ideally experience of laboratory batch making and experience on lab test methods.
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Good communication skills - written and verbal, Fluent in English
