THE ROLE & OPPORTUNITY:

 


The HR Senior Manager Italy & Greece is a key part of the Southern Europe People team with specific responsibility for implementing and overseeing HR strategies for the markets, ensuring alignment with global guidelines and local business needs. This role plays a pivotal part in driving effective HR processes, supporting business growth, fostering talent development, and promoting an inclusive, high-performance culture.


Key Responsibilities:

 

1. HR Leadership & Strategy

  • Act as a strategic business partner to the Country Managers and the local Leadership Team.
  • Lead organizational and cultural transformation initiatives to support business evolution.

2. Work closely with the Wella COEs (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, HRIS, Learning & Development) to align with global process & strategy and customize for the local market where needed.

3. Employee & Labor Relations

  • Manage relationships with trade unions and lead collective bargaining negotiations.
  • Ensure a positive work environment in compliance with Italian labor laws.
  • Handle complex employee relations cases, including disputes and disciplinary actions.

4. Performance & Development

  • Oversee Performance Management and People Review processes.
  • Design and implement training and development programs to enhance workforce capabilities.

5. Compliance & Legal

  • Ensure compliance with Italian labor, health, and safety regulations.
  • Advise management on legislative changes and their impact on HR policies.

6. HR Analytics & Reporting

  • Analyze HR KPIs (e.g., turnover, engagement, workforce costs) and provide strategic insights.
  • Prepare regular reports for local and regional leadership teams.

7. Payroll & People Administration

  • Work with People Support Center to enable smooth payroll cycles and administrative processes
  • Provide best in class forecast of People Cost
  • Ensure data quality and accuracy

Role Requirements

  • Education: Degree in Economics, Law, or related fields; Master’s in HR Management preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 8–10 years in HR roles, with at least 3–5 years in managerial positions.
    • Proven experience in multinational and complex organizational environments.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of Italian labor law and industrial relations.
    • Familiarity with HRIS systems and data analytics tools.

  • Languages: Fluency in Italian and English is a must
