THE ROLE
This role will lead the strategic vision and execution of Consumer Channels for Pro Hair in the US, driving growth, brand equity, and commercial excellence across Premium Retail, E-commerce, Secondary, and Food/Drug/Mass (FDM) channels. This role is accountable for delivering Net Revenue and elevating the presence of Pro Hair brands across all consumer touchpoints.
This role is pivotal in shaping how our Pro Hair brands show up in the US market. It blends strategic foresight with commercial execution, offering the opportunity to lead a dynamic team and influence the broader transformation of our Consumer Channel strategy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Scope of Responsibility

Direct Ownership: Premium Retail (e.g., Ulta, Sephora, Department Stores, Specialty Beauty, Salon Chains)

Strategic Oversight: E-commerce (Amazon, DTC, Retailers.com), Secondary (Discounters), and FDM

Cross-functional Leadership: Partner with Trade Marketing, Brand, Education, and Commercial Planning to ensure seamless execution

Own and deliver the Net Revenue targets for all Consumer Channels

Define and execute the commercial strategy in partnership with Trade Marketing and Brand teams

Lead and develop the Premium Retail team, managing key accounts and driving joint business planning

Provide strategic direction and performance oversight for Ecom, Secondary, and FDM channels:

Amazon/DTC: Dual reporting structure with dotted-line accountability to this role for Pro Hair brand strategy and execution. Functional reporting is with the Ecom Sr Director.

Secondary Channel: Dotted-line reporting to this role for Pro Hair brand strategy and execution. Functional reporting is with the Head of Sales, Retail.

FDM Leader: Strategic partner to align on execution and performance of Pro Hair brands in Food, Drug, and Mass channels.

Build and nurture customer relationships to unlock growth and category leadership

Serve on the Pro Hair US Leadership Team, contributing to strategic initiatives, channel expansion, and divisional transformation
Team Leader & Coach:

Builds a high performing culture with multi-functional team and direct reports

Coach direct reports in strategy setting and targeted problem solving

Collaborates with Product Supply and Customer Service on issue shooting

Collaborates with Trade Marketing on marketing plans and creative

Collaborates with National Account Managers on customer requirements

Collaborates with Education on educational planning and execution
Business Management:

Responsible for analyzing industry and customer trends

Responsible for budgets and forecasts

Deliver Opps and Risks monthly and then bring Opps to life.
Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in Beauty or Consumer Goods, with a strong commercial track record

Proven leadership of high-performing teams

Deep expertise in Premium Retail and E-commerce; FDM experience is a plus

Strategic thinker with a bias for action and flawless execution

Collaborative mindset with strong stakeholder management skills

Passionate about building brands and delivering results

Acts as a business owner (driven, tenacious, and accountable)

Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and organizational/time management skills

Flexibility to travel (20-40%)
We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, skills and in comparison to internal incumbents currently in similar roles. Pay Range: $165,000 - $220,000 salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role. In addition, Wella Company provides a rich variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
