We are looking for Associate Director & Enterprise Architect for Digital & Integration Area that will join the Strategy & Enterprise Architecture Team & Digital Innovation & Technology Team in matrix mode, to help drive and be responsible for the architecture and design of Wella’s Digital application systems & technologies including those developed in house, package software, and third-party-hosted applications, so that they function holistically in support of the organization's business needs. The role will also cover architecture for company’s APIs landscape.

You will define & create new applications/APIs or improve existing ones to meet current and future business needs. You will evaluate existing and future application technologies & API approaches and make recommendations for best uses for your area.


  • Manages the future Digital technology and applications strategy, roadmaps and architecture aligning with the business strategies and obtaining senior consensus across the organization.
  • Manages the future APIs landscape including APIs catalog, heatmap, roadmap and ongoing interdependencies & reusability.
  • Provides overall direction, guidance, and definition of enterprise architecture within Digital & APIs area to effectively support the organization’s business strategy.
  • Works with the Business, Digital and IT stakeholders to develop the application architecture and roadmaps for Consumer/Customer area.
  • Manages APIs Operating Model and API delivery & support partnerships
  • Contribute to the development of application solution architectures in Digital/ Consumer/Customer area.
  • Analyze APIs designs and approves them or recommends reusability & standards-based improvements.
  • Create and maintain Enterprise Architecture assets on the EA repository.
  • Evaluating internal functions, business development strategies, and Digital processes and suggesting improvements.
  • Creating Business/Application architecture models to reflect the organization’s strategies, vision and goals.
  • Promote an Architecture led approach to the Digital/Consumer/Customer business.
  • Promote APIs concept to organization including both Business & Digital/Technology units.
  • Engage with all appropriate stakeholders to ensure early involvement of Architecture.
  • Ensure Application/Technology/APIs policies are available to all technical teams and followed.
  • Define applications & APIs costing models and ensures gathering costing information together with other departments.
  • Assist with developing a flexible, efficient and effective architecture organization.
  • Engagement at a strategic level, influencing policy, and setting direction for technical and business change.
  • Provide support and assist the project team. Helping to prepare architecture briefs/ options, ensuring consistency and alignment with the EA framework.
  • Support Solution Architecture documentation (HLD/LLD) preparation and review.
  • Development and ownership of EA strategies and roadmaps from a business and technology perspective, including ‘as-is’, ‘to-be’ and transitional states.
  • The ability to develop, document and establish architectural principles, policies, standards and reference architectures.
  • The ability to simplify complex and technical information by using appropriate and accessible language for non-technical audiences.
  • Capable of guiding the decision-making process, explaining trade-offs and making a recommendation based on all the available information.
  • An overall perspective on business issues, events and activities, and an understanding of their wider implications and long-term impact.
  • Identifies and evaluates alternative architectures and the trade-offs in cost, performance, and scalability. Supports monitoring of the external environment and assessment of emerging technologies to evaluate the potential impacts, threats and opportunities to the organization.



  • Solid experience in a role of a Solution/Application architect.
  • Proven experience working in Enterprise Architecture teams.
  • Experience with large scale Digital solutions including Digital Commerce, PIM, DAM, DXP, CM, etc. such as SAP, Adobe & other.
  • Experience with Mulesoft middleware is a must, other middleware experience is highly appreciated
  • Experience with Omni-channel strategy
  • Experience in modern cloud architecture e.g. serverless and container technologies. SaaS experience is also mandatory.
  • Experience in AWS & Azure platforms.
  • B.Sc degree with major in IT, computer science or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of architecture methodologies, principles, frameworks.
  • Experience in model-based architecture.
  • Knowledge and experience of EA tools (BiZZdesign, Archi, Aris, etc..)
  • Results oriented with the ability to maintain focus on objectives in a multi-task demanding environment.
  • Good problem solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of the team.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Previous experience working within Digital/Consumer/Customer area will be a critical.
  • Proven Integration Architecture experience with clear focus on APIs based architecture.
