The Finance Team delivers an effective finance support service to the business to strengthen decision-making by providing timely and accurate reporting and business information. The appropriate financial control framework facilitates improvements in the business, promotes the management of financial risk within the organization and meets increasing statutory and regulatory requirements.

THE ROLE

The FP&A Data & Governance Manager will be an essential part of our dynamic Finance Team, reporting to the Global FP&A Director Capability & Projects. This role focuses on design, governance and management of key data and system architecture elements enabling effective use of FP&A systems across the organization and providing support in the financial planning and analysis tools across Wella

Corporate functions and commercial regions.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

‐ Act as the FP&A system (EPM) owner, ensuring its optimal performance and alignment with business needs.

‐ Own the FP&A data architecture in company: design and implement financial reporting data flows (both master and transactional) that are properly integrated from upstream systems like SAP ECC and IBP into FP&A systems (EPM) and downstream.

‐ Design, implement and enforce robust data governance policies, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness in FP&A systems (EPM).

‐ Oversee data flow (once integrated) and reconciliation across financial systems, ensuring data integrity and consistency in reporting, with support from IT.

‐ Propose and lead system enhancement projects for FP&A and related systems, covering requirements gathering, design, aligning stakeholders, testing, implementation, and collaboration with IT and external vendors.

‐ Manage and supervise project teams involved in global FP&A projects. Manage timelines, budgets, and resources for system-related projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.

‐ Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize FP&A processes by leveraging system capabilities and build automation, AI/ML and advanced reporting tools. Propose solutions transforming complex data into strategic business insights, supporting informed decision-making processes.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

‐ Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration/management, information systems or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.

‐ A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis operational roles and data analytics/system project management.

‐ Experience with data governance frameworks, data management, and system integration.

‐ Experience managing internal/external project resources, small teams.

‐ Proficiency in analytical and data manipulation tools, financial modeling, and forecasting methodologies.

‐ Ability to manage complex system projects, balancing competing priorities and timelines.

‐ Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and clear presentation of financial insights and findings.

‐ Solid organizational skills, with an ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines consistently.

‐ A proactive approach, demonstrating initiative in problem-solving and operational enhancement efforts.

‐ Willingness to learn, adapt, and drive personal and organizational growth within a dynamic and innovative environment.
