ABOUT THE ROLE
The Global Brand Finance Data engineer will be an essential part of our dynamic Finance Team, reporting to the Global Brand Finance Associate Director. This role focuses on leading data scope of integrated Innovation planning and reporting in Wella company, management of key data and system architecture elements enabling PBI and SAP Analytics automation with other Wella systems (datalake/SAP/Oracle EPM) and providing support in the financial process redesign and optimization across Wella Brand functions and commercial regions
What You’ll Do
Project & Data Management
‐ Lead the automation and in-housing of Global Innovation reporting within Power BI, ensuring a seamless transition and alignment with broader program objectives.
‐ Act as the primary technical liaison between Finance, Supply Chain, and internal/external IT partners to ensure cross-functional data alignment.
‐ Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle for the finance workstream, overseeing planning, execution, system monitoring, and formal closure.
‐ Proactively monitor system performance and data accuracy, identifying and resolving technical bottlenecks before they impact financial stakeholders.
‐ Architect data integrity frameworks, including data mapping, cleansing, and validation protocols, to ensure "single source of truth" financial reporting.
Finance Process Design & Optimization
‐ Integrate financial KPIs into Innovation reporting to support real-time performance tracking and scenario analysis.
‐ Lead the transformation of Innovation financial planning & reporting processes, ensuring solutions meet business needs.
‐ Partner with finance and brand stakeholders to continuously enhance Innovation reporting, expand KPI coverage, gather requirements, validate solutions, and support adoption.
‐ Develop and execute change-management initiatives, including training, communication, and user support for finance teams.
‐ Streamline core brand finance workflows, identifying opportunities to eliminate manual tasks through process redesign and advanced analytics.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 7-8 years of experience managing Power BI reports automation with financial system (e.g. SAP, Oracle EPM).
‐ At least 3 years of experience in finance transformation or financial planning & analysis (FP&A).
‐ Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects, especially involving Finance, IT, and Supply Chain.
‐ Strong understanding of financial processes and systems integration.
‐ Excellent communication, vocal and pro-active, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
‐ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
‐ Fluency in English
‐ Expert handling and reconciling large datasets while strong attention to detail
