ABOUT THE ROLE

The Global process owner for Procure-to-Pay (“PTP GPO”) drives standardization of the P2P process  and sets the strategy and performance objectives for the PTP process. The PTP GPO is accountable for maintaining a robust and scalable process design and taxonomy that satisfies the requirements of the business and supports the organization’s operational vision and objectives. The PTP GPO will actively gather and apply external best practices, propose and implement improvements, whilst adhering to the governance framework by ensuring appropriate stakeholders and decision makers are part of the design to implementation process.

Reporting to the Global Shared Service Senior Director, you will drive standardization and process improvement, set the strategy (along with other GPOs) and performance objectives for the PTP process. Your role covers the  PTP processes, starting with an approved purchase requisition and ending with vendor payment. You will play a leading role in the preparation and implementation of the future global ERP, which will replace the current SAP ECC system.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Shape the P2P transformation vision (along other GPOs) to support the company’s long-term objectives and expectations
  • Design global standard models based on company ways of working and best practices (benchmarked) and implement in alignment with P2P transformation vision
  • Optimize and standardize existing processes, establish clear criteria and guidelines at all stages, map exceptions, gaps and retrofit to allow appropriate standardization level
  • Collaborate with the Procurement & Sourcing teams for improvement initiatives that would go beyond the defined PTP scope
  • Design and implement relevant SLAs and KPIs to monitor process efficiency and effectiveness
  • Support any transfer of activities from local markets to SSC structures
  • Implement key automation tools with the business and IT
  • Be the business owner for PTP IT applications, including SAP-VIM, , SAP-Concur
  • Drive continuous process improvement and innovation, by acquiring insight into current best practices;
  • Design, from time to time, and be owner of the overall taxonomy, process maps, policies and SOPs (standard operating procedures)
  • Oversee process operations and monitor any exceptions and variations; support operational teams as needed for process-related topics
  • Prepare executive level presentations, business reviews and reports for PTP area
  • Report clear information and performance metrics to stakeholders; drive corrective action as necessary

 

WHAT WE WANT YOU TO BRING ALONG

Essential:

  • A Bachelor´s degree in Finance/Accounting, or related subject
  • 10+ years’ experience in the PTP function, in multinational commercial organizations and ideally transformational environment
  • Management experience in outsourcing or outsourced business process operation, shared service centres or global business operations support centres.
  • Working knowledge of SAP (process, master data, key transaction flows) and related PTP tools (e.g. Ariba, OpenText)
  • Hands-on experience and good mastery of lean and standardization concepts and tools
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Adaptable, enthusiastic and a continuous learner
  • Self-motivated, solution-oriented and results-driven
  • Ability to prioritize and organize, ensuring all tasks are completed in a time efficient manner.
  • Ability to work across cultures with all levels of organization as well as with different functions;
  • Disciplined work ethic with attention to detail while keeping in mind the overall big picture.
  • High level of reliability and personal integrity
  • Willingness to travel on an occasional basis

 

Desirable:

  • SAP S4/Hana implementation experience in the PTP space
  • Project management experience, ideally implementing new PTP tools and systems;
  • Working knowledge of any of the following languages would be a plus: French, German, Polish, Spanish.
