THE ROLE
We’re looking for an Assistant Social Media Brand Manager to join our Marketing team. This role will work with the Senior Social Media Brand Manager to deliver our exciting and ambitious social share of voice and engagement growth plans, via owned and earned channels, leveraging our professional heritage and expertise to continue to develop our long standing leadership authority with hair professionals and also to make Wella Professional brands more well known and loved by consumers by growing our reach, engagement and community connection with them.
You will get to shape, activate and drive through a focus on continual learning improvement our local social media strategy, channels and content, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, agencies and creative partners. You will get to work with our iconic and market leading roster of hair brands including Wella Professionals, Nioxin and Sebastian Professional.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage our Instagram and Tiktok owned social platforms across our portfolio of brands, devising the right content plans and their deployment with our agency partners to drive reach, engagement & community growth in line with our business goals.

Develop and manage best in class content calendars, aligning frequency & content optimization to the latest algorithm updates, ensuring the channel is always performing optimally.

Work closely with the global, regional and local teams to ensure maximization of the global content toolkits in combination with driving our local content creation & UGC to optimize engagement & audience relevance, measured via reach, engagement & follower growth

Work closely with agencies, brand teams and external creators to brief, create and execute.

Ensure best in class community management of all platforms is delivered by our agencies so that our social channels act as a community not only a broadcast media channel

Deliver all monthly reporting on performance across owned and earned channels

Ensure all of our owned and earned plans harmonise and maximise the paid social activation plans as part of the wider media strategy run by the brand managers

Ideate, brief, create, and implement social content to support our brand and customer calendars – aligned with business priorities

Bring a competitive & trend led view to how we develop and deliver our social content and community plans to ensure we are always ahead of the game & a beauty social leader

Think in a 360 way and leverage social and UGC in an omni-channel manner.

Define, measure and report on a monthly basis performance on social evergreen and campaign based activity, reporting back to the total business including leadership and sharing best practice across UKI brand teams and Global teams

Manage with the budgets agree with Brand Team.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
-
3+ years experience of working in a social marketing role in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrable examples of successfully managing a range of social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Workplace, YouTube…) and growing audiences & engagement on behalf of a brand or company

Demonstrate examples of best-in-class content creation

Proven ability to drive new ideas and plans through to completion.

Able to spot and switch on trends.

Creative and innovative thinker; brings the outside in and challenges the status quo.

Analytical and data driven; uses data insights to drive constantly improve and raise the bar.

Experience of successfully delivering projects within cross-functional teams
-
Previous experience managing an agency essential.
Desirable:

A post-grad qualification in Digital Marketing would be a plus.

Beauty experience preferred.
