THE ROLE
We are looking for an Enterprise Integration Architect that will join the Enterprise Strategy & Architecture Team to help drive and be responsible for the architecture and design of Wella’s applications & technologies including those developed in house, package software, and third-party hosted applications. The role will primarily cover integration architecture for the company’s APIs, EDI and file transfer landscape.
This role requires a deep understanding of integration technologies, architecture principles, and best practices to ensure seamless data flow and interoperability across the organization.
You will define new applications/APIs or improve existing ones to meet current and future business needs. You will evaluate existing and future application technologies & API approaches and make recommendations for best uses for your area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides overall direction, guidance, and definition of enterprise architecture within the Integration space to effectively support the organization’s business strategy.
- Works with the Business, Digital and IT stakeholders to develop the integration architecture and roadmap including the ownership of EA integration strategy and roadmap from a business and technology perspective, including ‘as-is’, ‘to-be’ and transitional states.
- Contribute to the development of application solution architectures in Digital/ Consumer/Customer area. Supporting Solution Architecture documentation (HLD/LLD) preparation and review.
- Analyze APIs designs and approves them or recommends reusability & standards-based improvements.
- Create and maintain Enterprise Architecture assets on the EA repository.
- Promote an Architecture led approach to the Digital/Consumer/Customer business.
- Engage with all appropriate stakeholders to ensure early involvement of Architecture, influencing policy, and setting direction for technical and business change.
- Define applications & APIs costing models and ensures gathering costing information together with other departments.
- Provide support and assist the project team. Helping to prepare architecture briefs/ options, ensuring consistency and alignment with the EA framework.
- The ability to develop, document and establish architectural principles, policies, standards and reference architectures.
- Capable of guiding the decision-making process, explaining trade-offs and making a recommendation based on all the available information.
- An overall perspective on business issues, events and activities, and an understanding of their wider implications and long-term impact.
- Stay current with emerging integration technologies and industry trends.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
- Solid experience in a role of a Solution/Application architect.
- Proven experience working in Enterprise Architecture teams.
- Experience with Mulesoft, SNAP Logic and Tibco iWay middleware is preferred, other middleware experience is highly appreciated
- B.Sc degree with major in IT, computer science or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of architecture methodologies, principles, frameworks.
- Results oriented with the ability to maintain focus on objectives in a multi-task demanding environment.
- The ability to simplify complex and technical information by using appropriate and accessible language for non-technical audiences.
- Good problem solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of the team.
- Fluent in English.
- Proven Integration Architecture experience with clear focus on APIs based architecture.
Desirable:
- Experience with Omni-channel strategy
- Previous experience working within Digital/Consumer/Customer area will be beneficial.
- Knowledge and experience of EA tools (EAS, BiZZdesign, etc..)
- Experience in AWS & Azure platforms.
