THE ROLE

 

Our Event Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing a wide range of events, aligned with Wella Company’s strategic priorities. They will ensure that all events are delivered on time, within budget and aligned with relevant brand guidelines. This role will require best in class stakeholder management both internally and externally, overseeing logistics, vendor management, budgeting and on-site operations to deliver seamless and impactful experiences that cement Wella’s position as a beauty leader.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Event Planning & Strategy

  • Devise eventing strategy based on organisational goals, considering all community groups; RED, Pro, Consumer and Internal teams.
  • Develop and execute event concepts, timelines and associated budgets, aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Identify clear event goals, audiences and relevant KPIs.
  • Conduct market research to inform event strategies and enhance engagement.

Logistics & Operations

  • Manage all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection and review, catering, décor, transportation, AV requirements and permits, in collaboration with relevant agency partners.
  • Coordinate event setup, on site management and post-event breakdown.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and legal requirements, including risk assessments.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Source, negotiate and manage relationships with third party suppliers, working closely with procurement to ensure all tender policies are followed.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent communication and alignment with key stakeholders.

Budgeting & Reporting

  • Prepare and manage detailed event budgets, track expenses and ensure cost-effectiveness and adherence to agreed budgets.
  • Negotiate contracts, ensure payments are made accordingly and lead post event reconciliations with relevant partners and internal finance teams.
  • Complete and present full post event analysis, including quantitative and qualitative attendee feedback, ROI analysis, KPI delivery and improvement recommendations.

Marketing & Promotion

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop event promotion strategies and materials, in line with relevant brand guidelines, leveraging print and digital tools effectively.
  • Collaborate with agency partners on registrations, ticket and attendee communications.

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

  • 5+ years in event planning.
  • Proven track record of managing large scale events & budgets.
  • Exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence in Stakeholder management, with previous experience navigating Senior Lead Team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and travel as required.

Desirable

  • Experience in Hair & Beauty industry.
