THE ROLE

As Influencer & Advocacy Manager for Wella Company’s brands in the UK and Ireland objectives are to drive EMV, share of voice, engagement rate and conversion with professionals and consumers in line with business objectives. You’ll be someone who has a passion and expertise in influencer marketing, is always on top of the latest platforms and trends, with the drive and energy to succeed in achieving your goals. You’ll be responsible for building the Influencer Marketing strategies for our portfolio of iconic hair and nail brands, serving both salons, spas and consumers through our huge distribution network. You will take the lead on brands identified as a priority by the business in line with the business strategy and performance goals. You will have the support of influencer agencies, working closely with them to ensure that they deliver on their objectives. You will support the Brand Communications Associate Director as part of the wider Brand Communications team spanning owned and earned channels across PR, influencer marketing and social. With the role of influencers being a strategic priority for our business globally, you will play a critical role in shaping our go to market strategy in owned, earned and paid for the future, making this role an exciting opportunity for any seasoned influencer marketer.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build the Influencer Marketing strategy across all brands and as a portfolio strategy in line with business objectives – including driving EMV, AVE, SOV, ER% and conversion, with a focus on driving reach, resonance and traffic via Tik Tok and Instagram
  • Strategy and Planning for 360 campaigns to drive reach with influencers and communities to deliver more of our ‘fair share’ of EMV and conversion
  • Responsibility for managing and planning the influencer marketing budget
  • Managing and building relationships with key ambassadors, influencer and industry contacts
  • You will work between global, regional and local to harmonise and maximise UK plans, and pilot initiatives providing best practice and leading the way in influencer strategy for Wella Company globally.
  • You will be responsible for leading with our influencer agencies, including campaign planning & allocating projects based on workload and capability
  • Ensuring effective ways of working within the Brand Communications team and with key stakeholders, including brand, social media and global teams
  • Driving for excellence - regularly evaluating influencer activity using our influencer measurement tools to measure performance vs objectives
  • Keeping an eye on the latest trends and innovations to ensure that Wella is constantly delivering best in class campaigns and executions
  • Acting as an internal advocate for influencer marketing function with global, local and external stakeholders - making sure we ‘PR the PR’

 

QUALIFICATION

Essential:

  • You have 4+ years experience in influencer marketing either in-house or agency side
  • You have experience and can demonstrate capability to develop impactful influencer marketing strategies working with agencies and stakeholders to drive from concept to results
  • You will have experience dealing with influencers and influencer agencies including negocating contracts, briefing and managing deliverables in line with contract & budget
  • You’ll be a powerful communicator, from confidently delivering impactful presentations to leading challenging negotiations with influencers and ambassadors
  • You’ll be a natural leader and strong team player who is comfortable managing up and down
  • You’ll be someone who is always driving for excellence, and constantly looking for how we can do things better next time
  • You’ll be confident in working with multi-functional stakeholders and building good relationships for effective team working
  • You are a strong project manager, with excellent organisation skills ensuring projects and campaigns deliver against business KPIs and beyond, including budget management
  • You have a good understanding of the social media influencer landscape, including Tik Tok and social selling
  • You show a strong sense of individual accountability

 

Desirable:

  • Experience in the hair and beauty industry
  • Experience working with B2B as well as B2C brands
  • A strong network of influencer and influencer agency relationships
