THE ROLE

 

The National Account Executive position is for a passionate individual who will be responsible for the account management of our biggest professional channel within OPI, wholesale, to build profitable sales growth.  Attention to detail, organisational and communication skills are key to succeed in this role. The ideal candidate will be positive, able to work independently and collaboratively with the Senior National Account Manager to support influencing external and internal stakeholders effectively when necessary.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Business Planning

  • Account Management of UK&I wholesale accounts.
  • Develop and execute specific promotion plans for each customer.
  • Support with management of an investment plan and P&L for each customer.
  • Understand customer objectives and ways of working
  • Plan, develop & implement an annual Joint Business Plan & trade terms with specified customer with the goal of profitability and net revenue gains.

Communication

  • Support with implementation of a customer specific promotion plan for OPI UKI
  • Facilitate information flow between OPI UKI and the customer services for data such as service level and stockholding.
  • Ensure all online assets/POS/line lists are checked for accuracy and issued to customers in line with lead times.
  • Liaise with Demand Planning and communicate any stock availability issues to the customer.
  • Support in managing day to day contact with customer teams to respond to ad hoc requests and issues.

Forecasting/Supply Chain

  • Support with management monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts and provide rational to Senior National Account Manager
  • Accurately support with preparation of financial accrual requests and work closely with Finance.
  • Support the submission and agreements of promotional forecasts to the customer & demand planning.
  • Support in building contacts with the forecasting and supply chain teams within the customer to work together to manage the most cost-effective supply chain delivering all potential operational efficiencies and to ensure all external promotional proposals and internal forecasts are aligned.

Financial responsibilities

  • Management of gross to net to optimize profitability.
  • Management of an investment plan to drive customer/brand awareness whilst maximizing profitability.
  • Review post promotional analysis to understand results of promotion.

Store visits

  • Carry out regular instore and online visits to track promotional activity for the relevant brands.

Relationships

  • Build and develop relationships with specified customers.
  • Be the voice of the customer within OPI UKI

Driving eCommerce Performance

  • Enforce the Wella strategic pillar of Unlocking Digital through OPI retailer UKI eCommerce visibility and sales growth.
  • Present and provide materials, working with SNAM for bricks & clicks retailers to ensure they are using best-in-class eCommerce CARS principles to push their retailer’s eCommerce offers
