THE ROLE

We’re looking for an Employee Relations & Reward Manager to join our HR team.

You will partner with line management and the HR teams to deliver effective employee relations capabilities as well as manage risk and compliance, related to employment. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIE

Compensation & Benefits management

  • Is the custodian of all benefits management including Pension, Insurances, Medical or similar for the UK and Ireland business
  • Responsible for the annual compensation cycle including salary reviews and bonus scheme
  • Lead on the Company’s Gender Pay Gap Report annually
  • Ensure job grades are in line with the Company’s framework
  • Work closely with the global mobility team to assist with relocations, visas, and tax compliance
  • Ensures HR Policy and contracts of employment comply with UK and Irish law and best practice.
  • Research on competitor offerings and benefits, advises on best practice in terms of benefits policies such as flexibility, parental leave etc.
  • Researches and recommends benefits enhancements and working conditions.
  • Fleet custodian working closely with the Fleet Company and Company car drivers on policy matters

 

Employee Relations

 

  • Responsible for the development of HR Policies in line with our people strategies and UK and Ireland legislation ensuring they are user friendly and fit for purpose for our business
  • Leads training sessions for line managers to ensure they are equipped to deploy both HR policies and ACAS best practice in the management of their teams.
  • Provides expert guidance on UK&I employment law and application thereof to business.
  • Develops strong relationships with business clients in conjunction with the HR team to ensure good understanding of business agendas and cultures
  • Work with HR team to implement any organizational change programs as needed.
  • Provides support and guidance to HR team on all ER and LR issues on a day to day basis ensuring they are compliant with both UK and Irish law and company best practice, also ensuring we have a consistent approach to ER in all areas.
  • Case manages complex ER issues personally to ensure legal compliance and consistency in approach with high level disciplinary sanctions or termination of employment
  • Attends regular external Employment Law events to ensure advice is up to date with both current legislation and case law
  • Works closely with corporate legal and external legal counsel on case preparation for any employment litigation
  • Maintains smooth flow of communication throughout the employee relations processes, including business stakeholders, employees, corporate legal advisors
  • Representation at ACAS in employment disputes.
  • Ability to support HR and managers in dispute mediation and resolve workplace grievance.
  • Manage any restructure or consultation programs as needed.
  • Conducting monthly right to work checks to ensure compliance
  • Manage IR35 compliance of freelancers to ensure HMRC complaint
  • Monitoring working abroad requests in line with the Company policy

 

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar role.
  • A Bachelor´s / Master´s degree in HR, Business, Economics or law or CIPD qualified.
  • Advanced knowledge of UK&I employment law.
  • Commercial acumen and awareness of business realities.
  • Curious, eager to understand business and make an impact.
  • Is resilient and flexible, adapts to new challenges
  • Ability to communicate concisely and persuasively.
  • Executive maturity, discrete and ability to handle sensitive matters and engage with Senior Management.
  • Capable of working successfully in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Possess demonstrable problem solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Self-motivated and results driven.
  • Embraces diversity and fosters an inclusive team.
  • Ethical and principled in your approach.

 

Desirable:

  • Experience in beauty, hair sector or FMCG sector.
  • Experience in employee relations matters
  • Experience in compensation and benefits matters
