THE ROLE

We are actively looking for a Manager to lead the Hair Initiatives Planning for North America region. This individual will embody the Wella vision focused on meeting the end-to-end needs of our customers from the initial order placement to fulfillment, via managing the product availability for entire portfolio. This role will be responsible for managing entire Professional and Retail Hair portfolio initiatives for North America region, closely collaborating with Planning Center hub, Demand Planning, Customer Service and commercial partners to delight customers and drive business synergies and improvements. You will become the voice of the Product Supply team and will become a key member of Wella supply chain and daily business operations.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Owns Fill Rate results and drives continuous improvement to the process and deliverables through collaboration with supply, demand, logistics, and warehouse teams
  • Proactively communicates and manages supply constrains within the region, providing inputs and risk mitigation plans to all key commercial partners and leadership
  • Collaborates with lifecycle management post-execute to define phase-in phase-out plan; coordinate with Market Planning & IP to execute PIPO to reduce service risks and IDE.
  • Work with NA Commercial team on allocation strategy, runout plan, discontinuation timing, and manage plan with Trade Marketing/Customer Service to confirm field is aware of phase out timing.
  • Support Customer Specific Requests on Initiative Readiness (i.e. SDS sheets, New Item Forms, manipulation strategy, etc.)
  • Support planning hub to root cause service level impacts driven by initiative delays; responsible for supply response for all initiative incremental supply requests for products pre-launch
  • Ensures supply chain readiness (cost, cash, service), including managing local activities and partnering with Global Initiative Leader on market project schedule and/or if financial impacts due to scope change/clarity.
  • Collaborates with lifecycle management post-execute to define phase-in phase-out plan; coordinate with Initiative Planning to execute PIPO plan to reduce service risks and VAR.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

  • Education: BA/ BS in Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field; MBA preferred
  • Experience: 2-4 years experience in supply planning, demand planning, production, project management, and/or other area of supply chain/logistics
  • Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Communication skills: ability to communicate clearly, transparently, concisely, and on a timely basis with leadership. 
  • Comfortable with dealing with conflict and issue resolution
  • Ability to challenge and refine business process and/or data requirements
  • Technical Skills: MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, SAP, JDA
  • Aptitude for problem solving; proven ability to create, implement and measure processes
  • Collaboration Skills: Ability to work collaboratively across different styles.  Develop strong partnerships. Must be able to work well with people not physically collocated.

  • CPG industry experience
  • Entrepreneurial and critical thinking in a fast-paced industry by making principle based decisions that deliver win-win situations for the company and our stylists
  • Strong organizational skills to promptly respond to queries, follow timelines and SOPs to ensure high quality delivering service.
  • Aptitude for problem solving; proven ability to create, implement and measure new
  • Flexible & agile in completing various duties from order entry, financial analysis, issue resolution, and customer query management while also being able to shift priorities due to current activity (promos, volume, month end, etc).
  • Transparent, inclusive, and collaborative with different personality types, and passionate about helping people.
  • Partner and influence others effectively is key as there is constant communication with customers and internal partners to deliver on customer expectation.
