As the Sr Manager, Digital Content & Social, you will be accountable for owning the global content strategy for OPI Digital Platforms and Social Channels. You will lead the content strategy and development process and social strategy across all markets, including the distribution of best practices and global guidelines. You will support the cross-functional platform content planning process and ensure that the brand experience is executed with consistency and excellence at all consumer and professional touchpoints. In this full-time role, you will report into the Global Director, Digital for OPI as part of the Wella Company.



  • Lead a team of Five: two Content Managers, two Community Coordinators and one intern across both Professional and Consumer audiences and platforms.
  • Accountable for overseeing content marketing strategy for all digital channels, with clear understanding of how to target relevant audience segments through which content format and on which platforms.
  • Act as key content strategy & execution subject matter expert – seen as “go-to” partner for consultation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, R&D, education, trade marketing and creative) to tie effective content marketing strategy to established business objectives with digital led omni-channel approach.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to define global vs local content strategy and develop clear guidance & playbooks for local markets on how to execute and create local on-brand content.
  • Lead channel strategy development to identify platform by audience and objective, as well as content types and messaging by platform.
  • Oversee execution and management Global and North America social channels in cooperation with NA Marketing. Responsible for strategic execution and publishing of all social content including testing of frequency, timing and content type optimization (visual content, hashtag keywords, use of emojis etc) to keep improving social performance.
  • Own Digital Content Calendar for Global and North America and lead Weekly Content Meeting to align global and local NA teams on initiatives and business priorities to ensure consistency across channels.
  • Brief and oversee agencies and partner with creative team on production process to produce content formats for all campaigns and initiatives, as well as for always-on, trends, SEO and culturally relevant moments.
  • Collaborate with other digital teams – CRM, Web, eRetail, Influencer, Paid Media – to ensure content strategy is consistent across all channels
  • Collaborate with paid media buying teams at both the local and global levels as strategic advisor on paid social best practice. Defining campaign KPIs and success metrics to facilitate transparent reporting.
  • Leverage Olapic, Tribe, Sprinklr and social platforms to source UGC that can be repurposed for awareness and organic brand communications with view to increase engagement and decrease content production costs
  • Jointly with the Influencer team, activate in-house influencer network to be activated across mini/micro, mid tier and macro. Build community of brand advocates that speak on brand’s behalf and convert their followers to the OPI brand
  • Lead Social Commerce build out with DTC markets, including social selling opportunities for influencers and professionals.
  • Oversee community management and engagement for NA and advise all markets on best practices for driving engagement and efficiencies across platforms.
  •  Stay abreast of social user trends and shifting behavior to be a social trendsetter as opposed to reacting late to new trends




  • Undergraduate Degree (Business/Marketing degree preferred)
  • Experience using social tools including Sprinklr & Olapic/Curalate + Project Management Tools
  • 5+ years Social experience (Beauty or CPG industry preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and influence at all levels
  • 1+ years demonstrated people leadership
