ABOUT WELLA EMEA SSC
The Americas SSC is part of the Wella Group Controlling function and will be the regional Centre of Excellence for accounting, reporting and external financial compliance activities.
THE ROLE
We’re looking for General Ledger (GL) Senior Analysts for the RTR teams based in our Americas SSC. You would work within the RTR team to provide the most complete, accurate and timely processing within one or more areas of General Ledger, Month-end close, Treasury, Fixed Assets, Intercompany, Payroll & Indirect Tax, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and procedures as well as external requirements. The team you will be joining plays an important role in the overall success of the organization. We need teams like yours to help navigate the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure efficiency & high quality of GL processes
Accelerate value & make an impact by doing day-to-day General Ledger operations:
Perform periodic month end closing activities
Treasury accounting
Preparation and posting journal entries
Balance sheet reconciliations and monitoring
Preparation of standard reports
Fixed assets processing
Intercompany processing
Payroll accounting
Check that transactions are booked according to accounting policy
Play active role in transition process in 2021 (USA/Canada/Puerto Rico/Mexico) into Americas SSC and in standardization process..
Drive simplification / continuous improvement initiatives and issues resolutions
Create and update of process related documentation Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
Cooperate with other GL team members
Perform daily tasks and interact with people at all levels within & outside the organization
Collaborate with internal team for solving raised issues and ensure the right satisfaction level
Ensure existing policies and procedures are followed
Ensure legal requirements respect and service quality
Ensure the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) meet the requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience in a matrix organization (ideally BPO/SSC/GBS).
Extensive knowledge about accounting and RTR GL procedures (minimum 3-5 years)
A Bachelor´s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Advanced in English, both written and spoken required
Self-motivated, solution-oriented and results-driven
Strong analytical skills
Strong logical thinker, creative, with good attention to details
Strong communication and presentation skills, stakeholder management at all levels
Ability to work across cultures with all levels of organization as well as with different functions
MS Office (Advanced Excel), SAP knowledge
Desirable:
Previous experience in a SSC is welcome
Cross functional experience across RTR a plus
Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CA/CPA or equivalent) is a plus WHAT WE CAN OFFER
