THE ROLE

As part of the US Education Street Team, the role is responsible of managing the Wella Company Professional sales territory and coaching a team of independent stylist contractors. The FEBM role is to develop strong education plans to strengthen the distribution channel which incl. BSG Distributor servicing Hair Salons. The role is to partner with customers and sales on delivering and executing the education & strategy designed, fit for use to the customer individual business incl. classes and events. The role will be working with multiple sales roles, Regional Sales Managers, Account Managers and Distributor Sales Consultants. The role will report directly to the Sr. Manager, Field Education South Central, the role is field based and located in Central MN, Twin Cities.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a sales territory by developing strong Education plans tied to Sales goals, Education Scorecard, Deliverables, and the brand initiative calendar.
  • Manage Independent Contractor, travel, and entertainment budgets.
  • Responsibility for developing Independent Contractor’s to meet current and future business needs; reinforces existing capability to sustain current business results.
  • Oversee recruitment of Independent Stylist Contractors
  • Hair industry experience to effectively deploy all education seminars and programs and establishes clear expectations on how we want the Wella Professional Education team to show up, leading the industry.
  • Leads engaging and motivating seminars both online and in person for licensed beauty professionals, including foundational product knowledge to foundational craft/ techniques.

 

  • Builds effective networks both internally and externally for learning, sharing, and benchmarking. Builds and maintains relationships with the education teams, customers, and sales teams.
  • Acts as an owner of the business and answers for results.  Puts in place a plan of action; follows through to achieve exceptional results.
  • Understands how things get done in the organization and how decisions get made.
  • In touch with trends, current thinking, and issues within the beauty/hair & nail industry.
  • Attends regional and company meetings for further personal and career development.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years Hair dressing experience behind the chair.
  • Minimum 3 years demonstration, teaching, or presentation experience.
  • Valid Cosmetology License within the state of residence
  • Mastery in technical knowledge relating to the professional hair industry.
  • 50% Domestic travel.
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle proof of insurance, and ability to drive and travel long distances for extended periods.
  • Professional and fashionable image.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PPT, Excel) and Apple (iPad/apps).
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings, long hours.
  • Ability to transport education presentation materials, sample cases, etc.
  • Comfortable leveraging social media accounts (personal or professional) to influence customer engagement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Pay Range: 70-90 K salary per year. Other rewards may include an annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role. In addition, Wella Company provides a rich variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
