Position Summary:

We are actively looking for a manager to lead the regional (market level) inventory optimization process. This leader will embody the Wella vision focused on meeting the end-to-end needs of our customers while maintaining the most efficient balance between product availability and inventory levels for the entire portfolio. This role will collaborate closely with Market Planning, Planning Center hub, Demand Planning and Commercial functions to drive business synergies and improvements translating into tangible results. This role is a key member of Wella Americas supply chain and daily business operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop deep understanding of systems and factors influencing and shaping inventory levels per market for all skus in the Americas product portfolio.
  • Build thorough understanding of the region’s Go-To-Market strategy and commercial tactics, connect this with shaping optimal supply chain network
  • Design, build, and implement effective system of applying market-specific insights into inventory control, VAR build up prevention and exhaustion – to complement and leverage existing Life Cycle Management process
  • Develop and implement local customized projects right-sizing process aimed at delivering significant VAR reduction and prevention
  • Design and own monthly analysis of VAR root causes and Inventory fluctuations, synthesize conclusions to build an action plan aiming at targeted reduction of idle stock.
  • Escalate issues to leadership and trigger necessary actions/changes in commercial decision – aimed at improved inventory turns and E&O reduction
  • Proactively challenge market assumptions for key initiatives based on hindsight of inventory & E&O impacts of previous executions
  • Support Market Planning and Planning hub in developing allocation strategy, runout plans, discontinuation timing and Inventory settings
  • Develop and own E&O reduction & portfolio optimization plan for the Americas region focused on Finished Goods and market-specific contributors, drawing leadership attention to the right actions and triggering necessary decisions.
  • Ensure balance between FR impact and inventory levels.

 

Qualifications:

Essential:  

·         Education: BA/BS in Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field.

·         Experience: 3-5+ years’ experience in supply planning, demand planning, production, project management, and/or other area of supply chain/logistics

·         Strong analytical skills are a must, including a thorough understanding of how to analyze large amounts of data and translate them into simple conclusions and impactful actions.

·         Strong communication skills: ability to communicate clearly, transparently, concisely, and on a timely basis with leadership. 

·         Comfortable with dealing with contradictory objectives and ambiguity.

·         Ability to influence others, challenge process/ideas and engage others to action

·         Technical Skills: MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, SAP, JDA/BY

·         Passion for problem solving; proven ability to create, implement and measure processes that lead to long term improvement

·         Collaboration Skills: Ability to work collaboratively across different styles and cultures.  Develop strong partnerships. Must be able to work well with people who are not physically collocated.

 

Desirable:  

  • CPG industry experience 
  • Entrepreneurial and critical thinking in a fast-paced industry by making principle-based decisions that deliver win-win situations for the company and our stylists
  • Strong organizational skills to promptly respond to queries, follow timelines and SOPs to ensure high quality decision support.
  • Self-drive to work independently from other teams, spending time on data analysis.
  • Agile & able to shift priorities due to current activity (promos, volume, month end, etc).
  • Transparent, inclusive, and collaborative with different personality types, and passionate about helping people.

 

We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, skills and in comparison to internal incumbents currently in similar roles. Pay Range: $91,500 - $110,000 salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role. In addition, Wella Company provides a rich variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
