THE ROLE
Develop and implement annual business plans for regional professional hair customers including Distributors, Wholesalers and Chain Stores. They are responsible for owning the customer partnership to deliver growth on the full portfolio of Wella brands including Clairol, Wella, Sebastian, Nioxin and OPI based on customer distribution. The Manager is accountable for delivering sales targets through the development of joint business plans and through execution of superior sales fundamentals, i.e. price/ promotion, distribution, merchandising, and shelving. They are required to manage budgets and quotas allocated by customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Single point of contact for assigned customers, building relationships with influencers and decision makers from analysts to buyers to C-suite leaders
- Own Joint Business Planning, Quarterly Business Meetings, and Sell-in meetings
- Create and execute base activity plans
- Create and execute new initiative launch plans
- Create and execute promotional strategy
- Own customer event planning and execution
- Effectively work with direct manager, cross-functional internal resources and Education to plan and execute strategic plans with excellence
- Manage forecasts including monthly sales, promotions and initiatives
- Manage and optimize all budgets and allocations
- Owns promotional process and inventory adjustments
- Additional tasks, duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3-5 years experience working with Regional Distributors
- Acts as business owner (driven, tenacious and accountable)
- Proven ability to work collaboratively both internally and externally
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver against opportunities that build the business and relationship with the customer
- Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and organizational/time management skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in the following systems: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization
- Flexibility to travel is a must within territory (minimum 50% or more)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Air travel 1-2 times per year minimum for company events and training
We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, skills and in comparison to internal incumbents currently in similar roles. Pay Range: $80,000 - $90,000 salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role. In addition, Wella Company provides a rich variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
