Position Title: Manager Global Strategy 

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid 2-3 days in office)

Reports to: VP Global Strategy 

 

The Manager, Global Strategy, is responsible for leading key strategic initiatives and projects that ensure Wella’s sustained market leadership and superior value creation. This role supports the development of our customer-and consumer-centric growth agenda.  Reporting to the VP of Global Strategy, this talented individual will focus on data & analysis, business planning, program management, and capability extensions in service of enterprise strategy.  Key responsibilities:

 

  • Lead and support strategic projects that deliver value to our global and regional business teams:
    • Support a project team to execute research, workshops, analysis, leveraging cross functional roles/responsibilities
    • Find opportunities through robust data analysis; communicate those opportunities to a range of stakeholders to drive action and insight
    • Execute rigorous and innovative business plans that combine market research, option development, strategic rationale, deep understanding of organizational capabilities, pro-forma financials, and implementation plans
    • Build communications, decks, and analyses to create clarity across the organization
  • Support the corporate strategic planning process and BOD material development, providing quantitative and qualitative analysis, recommendations, and deck preparation 
  • Build functional Strategy excellence for Wella CO
    • Propose & adopt best-in-class strategy frameworks, business case methodology, analytic methods, and new approaches
    • Act with speed/urgency to support the best strategic decisions of the company
  • Be a part of building a strong, inspired function rooted in an engaged team of excellent strategic leaders and teammates
    • Foster collaboration and excellence; act as a trusted partner to strategy teammates 
    • Build strong cross-functional relationships across the organization

 

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in top-tier Management consulting, corporate, brand strategy roles, IB and/or PE.  Undergraduate business degree or MBA preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a desire to gain insights and answers from qualitative and quantitative data
  • Learns quickly with speed-to-output
  • Highly collaborative, adept at building strong relationships, team player
  • Authentically values Wella’s Vision, Mission, and Values

 

We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, skills and in comparison to internal incumbents currently in similar roles. Pay Range: $105,000 - $145,000 salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role. In addition, Wella Company provides a rich variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
