Initiative & Regulatory Coordinator – LATAM Location: Mexico City (Hybrid)

About the Role: We are looking for a highly organized, technically fluent, and resilient professional to join our LATAM Supply Chain team as Initiative & Regulatory Coordinator. This role is critical to ensuring timely regulatory compliance and execution of product initiatives across 18 countries in Latin America (excluding Brazil). The successful candidate will serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all regulatory and initiative-related matters, acting as the bridge between LATAM markets, global stakeholders, and local distributors. The person in this position must understand the entire product portfolio across three categories and will be responsible for ensuring that all documentation, timelines, and validations are properly managed to avoid business disruptions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the main liaison between LATAM and the Global Regulatory Affairs team to coordinate documentation review, formula validation, artwork approvals, and dossier completion by country.

• Own and maintain full visibility of all regulatory timelines, initiatives, technical projects, and portfolio changes (e.g. phase-in/phase-out, PI/PO).

• Lead and manage interactions with LATAM Commercial, Marketing, Trade Marketing, and Sales teams, as well as with Supply Chain areas such as Demand Planning and Supply Planning. 

• Ensure regulatory readiness in line with global initiative timelines to guarantee smooth market transitions and avoid commercial disruptions.

• Serve as the central point of coordination with distributors in LATAM, monitoring requirements, feedback, and approvals at every stage.

• Provide timely and accurate status updates to global and local stakeholders regarding ongoing projects, risks, and bottlenecks.

• Actively participate in the review and approval of product artwork, local labeling, ingredient composition, and regulatory changes.

• Organize and track all activities through advanced tools (Excel macros, Power BI, Microsoft Project), ensuring structured follow-up and timely visibility.

• Anticipate and mitigate risks associated with VAR (Value at Risk), E&O (Excess & Obsolete), and market regulatory gaps.

• Maintain a deep understanding of local health authority requirements and regulatory pathways in each LATAM country.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Business, or a related field).

• 7+ years of experience in regulatory coordination, technical initiatives, supply chain, or related roles in LATAM markets.

• Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and health authority requirements across Latin America (excluding Brazil).

• Strong ability to manage large volumes of information, track multiple projects, and maintain detailed follow-up in a dynamic environment.

• Proven experience interacting with global teams, local affiliates, and external distributors.

• Advanced Excel skills (including macros), plus proficiency in Microsoft Project and Power BI.

• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize under pressure.

• Fluent English and Spanish (spoken and written) – mandatory.

• Experience in Beauty or Pharma industries is highly desirable.
