THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly driven Sales Director to lead and grow our sales function at Wella Company Mexico, a global leader in professional and retail hair care and color. As Mexico Sales Director, the role will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies across both the professional and retail segments. Reporting to the General Manager for Mexico & LATAM, this position will work closely with Marketing, Trade Marketing and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment in achieving revenue and market share growth. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage the sales organization across both professional and retail channels, driving revenue growth and market share.
  • Develop and execute innovative sales strategies to achieve company goals, leveraging market insights and customer trends.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, salons, and retailers to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Trade Marketing and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless alignment and execution of go-to-market strategies.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities while maintaining the integrity and growth of existing accounts.
  • Analyze sales performance, market conditions, and competitor activity to optimize sales processes and strategies.
  • Lead the preparation of sales forecasts, budgets, and reports for MLT (Mexico Leadership Team).
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, creativity, and customer-centricity.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

  • Extensive experience leading large sales teams in the beauty, hair care, or cosmetics industry, ideally within both professional and retail sectors.
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue and growth targets in a fast-paced, competitive market.
  • Deep knowledge of the professional hair care industry, including key trends, products, and distribution channels.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including salons, distributors, and retail buyers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed, strategic decisions.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to engage with clients and teams across regions.

Desirable:

  • Experience working within a global matrixed organization.
  • Master’s degree in Business or related field.
  • Fluency in english.
  • A passion for the beauty industry and an understanding of the professional hair care market’s dynamics.
