At Wella Procurement you are responsible for bringing in the best ideas, talent and capability to support the company’s business needs. You will develop and execute sourcing strategies which deliver the best value in terms of innovation, quality, service, cost and cash.

THE ROLE
In this role, you will report to the Americas Indirect Procurement Associate Director and work closely with the Global Category leaders and the Markets Leadership Teams to:
- Funnel the needs and specificities of the markets.
- Enable the operationalization of the category strategies.
- Create specific plans and long-term project roadmaps for Markets in scope.
- Adress all the needs of the Markets teams.
This is an exciting opportunity to build long-term efficiencies plans with the Markets Leadership Teams and Supply Chain Teams, while enabling the optimization and the roll-out of strategic category plans. You will be the central point of contact for Mexico and Latam Markets. You will have to establish and manage the overall stakeholder governance for these Markets.
In this role, you will lead the development of the strategic plans for each country and manage directly some procurement projects, following the 7-steps process, from need definition to supplier selection and management. You will also support the development of global category strategies, with the objective of maximizing value, innovation, growth and efficiencies, while enabling business partners’ strategies.
To manage the broad and diverse scope landscape, the Mexico Regional Sr Procurement Manager will have to work very closely with Category team and leverage their expertise and solutions, to secure goals achievements.
You will also work closely with your Regional Sr managers peers to constantly improve processes, harmonize practices, and share best practices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Become the Procurement Business Partner for all markets LT.
- Develop and manage the execution of Markets Procurement Roadmaps.
- Funnel Markets’ needs & specificities to Category Teams.
- Lead end-to-end procurement initiatives and projects.
- Work closely with key internal stakeholders to ensure business wide buy into all categories initiatives.
- Lead suppliers and contracts negotiations.
- Coordinate selected solution roll-out leveraging project and change management tools & processes.
- Lead spend analytics activities and work closely with stakeholders to continuously identify new project opportunities
- Support and lead some Supplier Relationship Mgmt activities to secure supplier performance and enable additional value creation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7 years of procurement experience in various categories or other relevant supply chain experience.
- A Bachelor´s / Master´s degree in Economics, Business or Engineering. MBA advantageous.
- Excellent analytical skills, negotiation skills, strategic thinking and collaboration skills.
- High level of reliability, personal integrity, autonomy and ownership.
- Strategic, structured, pro-active and solution-oriented way of working.
- You are business driven, pragmatic and results-oriented.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to communicate complex topics in concise terms to various stakeholders including C-Suite.
- Ability to draft clear and effective recommendations and defend them.
- Ability to work across cultures with all levels of organization as well as with different functions.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken required.
- Willingness to travel as needed to implement the requirements above.
- Ability to lead and coordinate several projects and activities in parallel.
