ABOUT THE ROLE
The HR Generalist, as a member of HR Southern Europe Team and a critical support to HR Senior Manager in Milan, plays integral role in transformation of the organization to deliver competitive advantage, high performance and sustained profitable growth for the business, by implementing the right HR interventions and supporting all business in administrative tasks as well as internal communication – all to fulfill the daily business needs and contribute to all Wella values.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
This role primarily focuses on employee life cycle management, benefits administration, while also supporting broader HR initiatives. Responsibilities are grouped below to highlight the main areas of focus and clarify the expected level of autonomy.
Compensation, Benefits Management & Payroll support (with a high degree of independence)
- Managing, processing, and reporting on employee benefits in line with local laws and country-specific processes (including insurance, meal vouchers, pension plans, etc.), and providing support in negotiations and contracts.
- Supporting employer-managed mobility documentation.
- Assisting in the processing of annual salary increases and bonuses under the guidance of the HR Senior Manager.
- Ensure timely submission of all payroll schedules and collaborate with the local payroll team and finance team to meet payroll cycle deadlines.
Recruitment & Onboarding (under the guidance of the HR Senior Manager)
- Carrying out onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
- Providing support throughout the recruitment and onboarding processes, including managing contracts, employment documentation, and digital archiving.
- Taking ownership of creating and issuing employment documentation in line with People processes for the end-to-end employee life cycle, such as employment contracts, onboarding packages, termination letters, and employee changes for your assigned group.
Training & Development (with a high degree of independence)
- Organizing mandatory training
- Managing funded training
- Assisting in the processes of performance & talent management, under the guidance of the HR Senior Manager
Labour Law & Compliance (in collaboration with the HR team)
- Supporting audit processes.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance, including time tracking, vacation, and related requirements.
Employee Support, HR Operations & Reporting
- Acting as an expert for all employee queries and requests regarding HR matters, under the guidance of the HR Senior Manager.
- Managing and monitoring HR tools and platforms.
- Producing HR reporting and KPIs for the management.
- Managing HR transformation and digitalization projects with a high degree of independence.
Internal Communications & other HR Projects
- Contributing to internal communications.
- Participating in the creation and/or deployment of HR projects and initiatives.
Throughout these activities, you will provide critical support to the Senior HR Business Partner and the broader HR team, ensuring smooth and effective HR operations while contributing to the organization’s values and goals.
