THE ROLE & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Your role is to co-create, support, and amplify our hair care innovation plans to grow our North America Hair Care business, together with your Global R&D and Marketing partners.
You will have three main responsibilities:
- Assess the North America Hair Care landscape and define strategic innovation opportunities for Wella Co. Understand key unmet consumer and stylist desires. Assess the competitive landscape. Develop strong customer/channel understanding. Identify strategic opportunities for us to win in hair care sustainably.
- Technically contribute to the definition, development, and execution of priority hair care projects across the Wella Care, Nioxin, Sebastian and Clairol Care brand portfolio. You will deliver this by working together with your global R&D and Marketing partners.
- Support the development of our existing base Hair Care & Styling business in North America, ranging from co-developing regional initiatives with Brand Marketing to collaborating with internal and external manufacturing operations to ensure that our products remain compliant to the evolving laws and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
- Minimum 5y experience in Hair or Skin Care R&D.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with Brand Marketing and Supply Chain functions.
- Experience in coaching and developing a small team (min 2) working for you.
- Minimum a Master Degree in a Scientific Discipline (Chemistry, Biology, Physics, etc.).
- Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Agile Problem Solver.
- Effective oral and written communicator (English)
- Open to travel globally when needed. (expected: ~5-10%)
We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Pay range: $100,000-$125,000 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role. In addition, Wella Company provides a rich variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance, life, and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
