THE ROLE

The role of Global Category Senior Manager Americas is to define and execute the sourcing strategy for the global categories in scope. This is an exciting opportunity to influence the design and strategic choices in this area building upon previous strategies and experience while shaping them to fit the corporate needs.

You will negotiate with suppliers the commercial terms and secure the supply fundamentals. Working closely with the legal department, you will ensure the contractual stewardship of spend under responsibility.

You will work with the external operations team to maximize the value of the Raw Materials sourcing with a specific focus on Americas and on third-party manufacturers across Americas – US, Brazil, Mexico/Mariscala- , while understanding the specific operational needs of each context.

You will be responsible for preparing the saving plans through commercial achievements and technical interventions to deliver the fiscal year objectives as well as longer term interventions in the 2-3 years horizon.

You will develop and maintain a business continuity plan for the most critical supply chains.

You will be responsible to build and maintain a strong relationship network with key internal stakeholders from several departments such as material Supply, R&D, finance, legal, third-party manufacturing, and global procurement.

You will maintain a deep understanding of the industry landscape and the main trends in the global market. You will understand the technical basis, the regulatory and the safety constraints for the categories in scope.

SCOPE & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 6 Global categories in scope inclusive 2 highly strategic Wella portfolios, 2 commodity categories and 2 Third Party Manufacturing Raw Material spends.
  • Design, implement and execute sourcing strategies and strategic transformation interventions across 30 M$ Spend segment.
  • Deliver fiscal year efficiencies targets in 2025-27 and identify saving opportunities for the next years.
  • Work collaboratively with several functions to ensure the operational implementation of the strategies.
  • Implement Supplier Relation Management program and drive Year on Year improvement in quality, service, innovation, and value.
  • Generate and execute solution to solve supply disruption issue whenever required.
  • Integrate complex portfolio from External partners to Wella procurement direct buy management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Profile and education:

  • University degree (MSc degree level or equivalent preferred)
  • Ideally 3-5 years’ experience in Procurement – preferable in FMCG environment
  • Deep knowledge of Raw Materials dedicated to the hair industry.
  • Experience working with Third Party Manufacturer and ideally understand the process of directed buy.
  • Fluency in English, and other language is a plus.

We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Pay Range: $100,000-$125,000 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role. In addition, Wella Company provides a rich variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance, life, and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
