THE ROLE
We are seeking a hands-on, strategic Trade Marketing Manager (TMM) that thrives in a dynamic environment, to lead the Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy for the U.S. Clairol, Retail Hair portfolio across Food, Drug, Mass and eCommerce channels. This role translates brand and innovation strategies into external category growth opportunities across channels, enabling sales teams to deliver against 4Ps and driving business performance. The TMM owns the 4Ps strategy on execution and enables the sales teams to deliver against them. The TMM also guides the Brand innovation team to solve the needs of the market by conducting clear analysis of the category and competitive opportunities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement GTM strategies for new innovations and base business.
- Own the 4Ps strategy and execution, defining KPIs and success models by channel.
- Analyze business drivers and category trends to identify growth opportunities.
- Lead initiative and base business forecasting, ensuring readiness for launches.
- Create and deliver best in class sales enabling tools (concept sell decks, seasonal materials, local success model).
- Deliver consistent customer/competitive understanding while executing with speed.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Demand Planning) to execute promotional plans, pricing, and deployment strategies.
- Track performance against KPIs, consolidate insights, and report to stakeholders.
- Partners, challenges, and pushes cross functional teams to deliver better outcomes together.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related fields
- 5-7 years prior experience in CPG sales, trade marketing, or customer strategy environment
- US Market/channel experience in FMCG/CPG industry a must
- Experience in developing and executing marketing strategies
- Works collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and project management skills
- Strategic thinking – leverages strategic ambitions to inform and develop clear recommendations
- Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Nielsen
- Agile; comfortable flexing to shifting priorities and evolving business needs in a dynamic environment
- Equally skilled at driving detailed strategies, and translating it to clear, concrete, tangible actions to support flawless execution
- Proactive and solution-oriented – takes initiative to do what’s needed for the business
- Adept at citing fact-based data points, generating new and refreshing existing reports, and deriving key insights with clear actions, owners, and timing from them
- Bias for being decisive, and making well informed decisions with a growth mindset
- Balances detail orientation with ability to see the bigger picture, and drive overall business value
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal); Strong presentation skills (ppt)
We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, skills and in comparison to internal incumbents currently in similar roles. Pay Range: $97,500 - $130,000 salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role.
