We are currently seeking a Sr. Marketing Manager to join the Wella Sebastian Marketing organization based in Manhattan, NY.  This position will be responsible for leading and executing global brand building strategies, identify and develop roadmap innovation, manage day-to-day business, portfolio and marketing execution, lead cross-functional and agency teams, and contribute to defining the long-term positioning and global growth strategy.  This position will also interact with the markets leadership team, to ensure they are aligned with strategies and plans.

 

Key responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead product innovation development from concept to launch, in partnership with cross functional teams to ensure timely and successful launched. Leading initiatives through stage gate process. Developing strategic go to market toolkits to bring innovation to life across all key touchpoints and enable execution in markets
  • Drive cross-functional team (incl. Consumer Insights, Packaging Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, Finance) to develop and execute key business initiatives, ranging from renovations, sku optimization, brand redesign and demand generation; includes high level of collaboration, consolidating information, and for I&R projects, presenting to Senior Leadership for approval at Gate meetings 
  • Lead development and execution of annual marketing plans which address all aspects of the marketing mix / infinity loop with strong digital/social mindset. Work closely with all internal and external functions to translate long-term strategy into highly effective annual marketing and sales strategies and tactics. Develop 360 global toolboxes including communication, visuals, sell-in materials, launch promos, in store, salon and digital & influencer marketing,
  • Guide strategic efforts on building Seb as a brand that matters, including a clear roadmap for sustainability. Work closely with cross functional team on plan and implementation to become more sustainable
  • Partner with CMI to deeply understand consumer behavior and ground business decision in insights including consumer habits, concept testing, brand health and segmentation
  • Lead brand reviews to analyze and diagnose market share/shipment performance to appropriate leadership and stakeholders. This includes identifying key root causes, trend analysis and developing actionable recommendations.

 

Key qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Minimum 6-8 experience in Brand Management for Consumer Packaged Goods / Beauty industry, ideally in global environment. Beauty experience preferred – haircare or skincare  

  • MBA degree preferred  

  • Strong strategic thinking with proven analytical skills. Problem solving oriented 

  • Highly collaborative and flexible – strong ability to work with other cross functional partners with a strong sense of ownership and accountability 

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to effectively interface at all levels. 

  • Passion for iconic brands and beauty industry 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Strong strategic, analytical skills. 

  • Ability to take initiative, develop and seek out creative and innovative ideas. 

  • Must have strong knowledge of Marketing fundamentals, analytical expertise, and be familiar with syndicated data sources and internal data sources.  

 

We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Pay Range: $124,800 - $145,000 salary per year. Other rewards may include an annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role. In addition, Wella Company provides a rich variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance, life, and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
