ABOUT “YOUR FUNCTION” – PROCUREMENT

At Wella Procurement you are responsible for bringing in the best ideas, talent and capability to support the company’s business needs.You will develop and execute sourcing strategies which deliver the best value in terms of innovation, quality, service, cost and cash.

Working with your Wella colleagues you will represent our business needs toward external business partners and be an active advocate who also flows ideas from our external partners into Wella teams.  You will work to enable an agile and effective supply chain for all our goods and services, responsive to the changes in our business.

THE ROLE

In this role, you will be responsible globally for the strategic sourcing and management of HR (Benefits, Payrolling, Recruitment…) & Professional services (Consulting, Finance & Audit, Legal, Insurance, Consumer Affairs & Call Centers, BPO…)  categories.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our strategic global procurement organization and lead the design, the development, and the operationalization of the long-term strategies & plans for these categories (3-5 years horizon). The global spend in scope is approximately $100M.  

Working closely with the Global Procurement Director for Business Services, you will be implementing new strategies and capabilities for the spend in scope.  You will engage internal stakeholders – Global and Regional - to review business needs and spend drivers, support strategic choices on spend, ensure strong supplier management and work with functional leaders to define the external capabilities needed to deliver value and enable their transformational journey. You will notably:

  • Lead the development of global category strategies & policies.
  • Design and implement global governance models for categories in scope.
  • Lead key initiatives and projects to ensure the delivery of short-term and long-term priorities.
  • Lead key stakeholders’ relationship to become a trusted business partner & advisor.
  • Set-up robust Supplier Relationship Management governance and lead key suppliers relationship, including the negotiations of global master agreements.

 

In this journey, you’ll be supported by the Global Manager for HR & Professional Services – based out of our Warsaw, Poland office- that you’ll manage and coach.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and refresh Global Category Strategies.
  • Develop 3-5 years operationalization plans/projects roadmaps.
  • Partner with key stakeholders and develop structured stakeholder governance, to ensure business wide buy into key initiatives and plans. Provide category expertise and guidance to the business.
  • Define optimal delivery model for categories in scope and design end-to-end governance model ensuring adoption and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with key stakeholders in the development and roll-out of global policies.
  • Provide commercial leadership and lead preferred supplier selection process for key initiatives, leveraging robust knowledge of tender management.
  • Lead the negotiations of Global contracts and T&C’s with strategic suppliers.
  • Partner with Regional procurement leaders to ensure that solution designed are fit for purpose and adopted locally.
  • People management developing and coaching a procurement manager to support the agenda and contribute to the delivery of the plan.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7-10 years of procurement experience in various categories, with previous experience in managing HR & Professional Services categories.
  • A Bachelor´s / Master´s degree in Economics, Business or Engineering.
  • Excellent analytical skills, negotiation skills, strategic thinking and collaboration skills.
  • High level of reliability, personal integrity, autonomy and ownership.
  • Strategic, structured, pro-active and solution-oriented way of working.
  • You are business driven, pragmatic and results-oriented.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to communicate complex topics in concise terms to various stakeholders including C-Suite.
  • Ability to draft clear and effective recommendations and defend them.
  • Ability to work across cultures with all levels of organization as well as with different functions.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken required. Good command of French is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to implement the requirements above.
  • Ability to detect risk areas and red flags.
