THE ROLE

The Sales Leader will be responsible for owning and driving the growth of the full portfolio of professional hair brands by partnering with the company’s top Premium Retail customers in the US. Deliver strategy in order to achieve sales targets through the development of joint business plans and through superior sales

fundamentals, i.e. price/promotion, distribution, merchandising, and shelving. This position partners with and provides guidance to a multi-functional team (product supply, education, marketing, Trade Marketing etc).

Develop and manage team.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Management:

  • Develop Strategy for Top Premium Retail customers in the US and Pro Hair brands within this channel
  • Establish a roadmap to open new customers & portfolio strategy in the US industry
  • Ensure that JBP are created and delivered for the team. (includes Quarterly Business Reviews and Sell in meetings)
  • Owns the Premium Retail Channel / Customers P&L
  • Build relationships with decision makers
  • Ensure delivery of new initiative launch plans that leverage the base and halo the promotional activities
  • Accountable for the forecasting of the channel

 

Team Leader & Coach:

 

  • Builds a high performing culture with multi-functional team and direct reports
  • Coach direct reports in strategy setting and targeted problem solving
  • Collaborates with Product Supply and Customer Service on issue shooting
  • Collaborates with Trade Marketing on marketing plans and creative
  • Collaborates with National Account Managers on customer requirements
  • Collaborates with Education on educational planning and execution

 

 

Business Management:

 

  • Responsible for analyzing industry and customer trends
  • Responsible for budgets and forecasts
  • Deliver Opps and Risks monthly and then bring Opps to life.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 7 + years of business experience in Sales, Category Management or Retail Management.
  • Acts as a business owner (driven, tenacious, and accountable)
  • Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and organizational/time management skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in the following systems: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Flexibility to travel (20-40%)
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional beauty experience & a passion for all things beauty

 

We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, skills and in comparison to internal incumbents currently in similar roles. Pay Range: $150,000 - $185,000 salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role.
