THE ROLE
Wella is seeking an individual to join the External Operations (EXO) Quality department, responsible for the product quality of Third Party Manufacturers (TPMs). The role is part of the global EXO Quality team and is closely working with our Supply Chain Team in Brazil. The position covers various activities and projects to ensure that good quality products are manufactured by Wella TPMs to satisfy our customers and consumers. You will have the opportunity to shape procedures in Brazil and to influence our global ways of working.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitors the compliance and performance of the TPMs, e.g. through routine audits, and evaluates the observations
- Leads projects such as the setup of new TPMs, processes, test methods and supports projects led by other departments
- Manages regular product inspections and the release process in Wella SAP, with support of our External Operations Quality Controllers
- Reports, manages and investigates product non-conformances and complaints in collaboration with the TPMs and relevant internal functions
- Monitors CAPA plans and the effectiveness of the actions
- SPOC for all quality related topics
- Prepares and analyze monthly KPIs, followed by continuous improvement plans
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
- Relevant professional experience in the Cosmetics, Pharmaceutical or Food industry, preferably in different product segments such as Hair Color, Care and Styling;
- Educational background or degree in chemistry, process engineering, food technology or similar;
- Experience as quality auditor;
- Willingness to travel;
- Strong communication skills (internally and externally), ability to act confidently and to overcome barriers;
- Strong team player;
- Excellent verbal and written English skills, Spanish is a plus;
- Ability to use Office and SAP;
Desirable:
- Experience in project management;
- Practical experience in the analytical or micro lab and with product/equipment validations;
- Experience with management of non-conformances including systematic problem-solving tools;
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes including Making, Filling and Packing processes;
- Mindset of continuous improvement;
- Customer and results oriented way of working.
