THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the General Manager of SEA, Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong, you will own the Business Unit’s Commercial Strategy and Operations for all channels (Professional, Retail and E-commerce) end-to-end, from the formulation of sales, marketing, and education strategies at Business Unit level to alignment with Regional (APAC) and Global teams to ensure successful implementation of localized strategies in all markets. You will be a part of the Leadership Team, and you will have a team of six direct reports in the marketing, brand and education function sitting in regional and country teams.
You will work closely with Country Business Managers and multi-functional teams in formulating and supporting them in executing Joint Business Plans (JBP) with distributors. To succeed in this role, you must be able to manage multiple large-scale regional projects, outline key milestones, and effectively drive global, regional, and country multi-functional teams internally and externally to deliver business results.

You challenge the status quo and push for actions in raising the bar on performance and efficiency. The role requires one to be strategic thinking, effectively manage multiple stakeholders, be able to problem solve effectively, and have strong communication and influencing skills.
KEY REPONSIBILITIES
Commercial Strategy and Operations
- Partner with the General Manager in long-term vision and strategy to grow ahead of competition in choice segments and categories within the region.
- Drive Commercial Excellence projects at scale through Annual Business Plan that achieve P&L and market share objectives, including customer acquisition and growth of strategic brand/customer segment/channel choices.
- Collaborate cross functionally with Country and multifunctional teams internally (Global, Regional, Country) and externally (Vendors, Distributor partners) to create localized solutions and commercial plans to deliver business objectives, including Commercial Capability programs (sales, marketing, and education) to consistently improve the quality of our frontline productivity and service to our customers.
- Lead coordination, consolidation and analysis of monthly country sales and commercial operations updates to Global and Regional teams.
Marketing and Education
- Define Brand Vision and Strategies for the region as part of the overall Commercial Strategy.
- Oversee and ensure successful execution of Brand strategies through Regional Brand Managers and Country Marketing Managers, by applying relevant Trade strategies and implementation tools with frontline teams to win in strategic channel choices.
- As a member of APAC Marketing Council, you must be a strong articulator, and champion for needs of the region’s consumers and markets to ensure relevant pipe fill of innovation that sufficiently serves the region’s aggressive growth ambitions.
- Leverage on Education to raise the value of Brand Activity Master Plans, and ensure successful execution with country sales, education, and marketing teams through Regional Education Manager
- Knowledgeable and familiar with the e-commerce and digital scene to drive business plans successfully for the growth of the business
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and/or Marketing
- At least 8+ years of Sales/Commercial Operations and Brand/Trade Marketing experience for FMCG brands, salon channel preferred
- Entrepreneurial mindset as the role requires building strategies from scratch and see through its implementation
- Experience with CRM solutions and consultative approach for understanding the customers'/business partners’ needs and challenging them on solutions while always working towards sales/issue/opportunity closure
- Has intermediate to advanced people management skills as the role manages team across functions and geographies and requires collaboration with country and distributor teams as well as Global and APAC regional teams.
- Proven to be a data driven/analytical individual with a high attention to detail
- Track record in streamlining sales related processes, and project management skills to ensure that internal and external milestones and processes run smoothly
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in writing and verbally, to drive actions and enable excellent execution across multi-functional teams
- Able to work in a fast-paced business environment
- Possess positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Proven to resolve complex business challenges and can formulate effective solutions to improve business results
