ABOUT THE ROLE

As Master Data Specialist, you will ensure the accurate, efficient, and timely management of master data for Wella markets. Through your work, you will support global and local business functions while strengthening the quality, compliance, and efficiency of our operations.
You will be part of our Master Data Team, a collaborative environment where we value different perspectives, learn from one another, and take ownership of our results. Our team supports the business through daily data operations, project management, and data governance.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Maintain and control finance, vendor, and material master data processes in SAP ECC and MDG as instructed in established procedures, keeping on target the key performance metrics (quality, speed, compliance).
- Prepare data reports and analyses using SAP, MS Excel and other internal tools.
- Analyze issues reported through tickets, define their root-causes, propose solutions, and drive action plans.
- Perform data quality checks to ensure data is compliant with the global standards and execute data cleansing activities.
- Proactively escalate business risks related to process and system gaps.
- Challenge existing processes and propose improvements to drive efficiency.
- Create and update standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Share knowledge on MD standards with peers and various business functions, and provide trainings as required.
- Support global projects by active participation in the phases of gathering requirements, testing & hypercare.
- Closely cooperate with other workstreams: Procurement, Finance, Account Payable, IT, Planning, Marketing, R&D, local Business Units.
WHAT WE WANT YOU TO BRING ALONG
- At least one year of experience in master data management.
- Working knowledge of SAP; experience with SAP ECC, SAP MDG, or Ariba would be a strong advantage.
- Good practical knowledge of MS Excel and basic experience with MS Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to analyze data, present clear conclusions, and support decision-making.
- Strong priority-setting and organizational skills in a dynamic business environment.
- Ownership, autonomy, and accountability for results within the given scope.
- A curious mindset and willingness to ask questions, share perspectives, and contribute to continuous improvement.
- A positive attitude and energy that contribute to a supportive team atmosphere.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, or another related field would be an advantage.
