Corporate Accountant

Location: Lodz, Poland (hybrid, 2-days in office)
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced and proactive accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership, solving complex accounting challenges, and acting as a trusted partner to the business.
As Corporate Accountant, you will support legal entities across Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark, working closely with the Legal Entity Controller. This is not a transactional accounting role. We are seeking someone who understands the bigger picture behind accounting entries, can analyze issues independently, provide recommendations, and drive solutions from identification to implementation.
You will take ownership of balance sheet accounting, month-end close activities, statutory reporting support, internal controls, tax compliance, and collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders across the organization.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Own balance sheet reconciliations, analysis, and issue resolution for multiple legal entities.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Prepare and review journals, accruals, prepayments, reclassifications, and other accounting adjustments.
- Analyze financial results and prepare accounting commentary for management discussions.
- Support preparation of Group reporting packages and statutory financial statements.
- Prepare accounting analyses and position papers when required.
- Preparation of Weekly Liquidity Forecast do Accounting & Financial Reporting
Audit, Compliance & Controls
- Act as a key point of contact for internal and external auditors.
- Coordinate audit requests and provide supporting documentation and explanations.
- Support internal control testing and compliance with accounting policies and governance requirements.
- Identify accounting risks, investigate root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
Business Partnership & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Controlling, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Payroll, HR, AP, AR, Consolidation, SSC teams, and external advisors.
- Translate complex accounting matters into practical business recommendations.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and standardization.
- Independently manage accounting topics from problem identification through implementation and closure.
WHAT WE WANT YOU TO BRING ALONG
Must-Have
- Strong experience in General Ledger (GL) / Record-to-Report (RTR) accounting.
- Hands-on experience with month-end close, balance sheet ownership, and account reconciliations.
- Ability to independently analyze accounting issues and propose practical solutions.
- Experience working with auditors and managing audit-related requests.
- Experience with SAP.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across different functions and organizational levels.
- Fluent English
- High attention to detail, accountability, and ability to work with limited supervision.
Nice-to-Have
- BlackLine experience.
- Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, or local statutory accounting standards.
- Experience supporting statutory reporting and tax compliance activities.
- Experience working across multiple legal entities or international markets.
- Background in audit, SSC, process improvement, or accounting transformation projects.
