THE ROLE

Wella, as a leading Hair and Nail Company, focuses on premium execution and how our iconic brands come to life in store. To continue this exciting journey and deliver on our customer promise, we are looking for a hands-on, enthusiastic person to lead our In Store Design, Shopper Marketing & Production team.

This candidate will lead our in-store materials strategy and execution. The team will oversee the design and the delivery of both permanent in store fixtures and promotional displays so to achieve our business goals. The ideal candidate has a strong leadership and point of view of the subject matter and is known for her/his ability to drive a team to ensure perfect execution on time. She/he is recognized for her/his project management skills, has strong attention to detail, keen business acumen, and excellent interpersonal abilities.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads a team to create and deliver all the needed Point Of Sales Materials across our Brands and channels.
  • Partners with the global Brand team, Channel Trade Marketing team, local Marketing and Creative teams to deliver in store materials as per the Brands’ guidelines to drive their in store equity.
  • Builds strong relationships with the Sales organization leading to an in-depth understanding of their retailer, shopper, competition & key focus points to enable development of winning display strategies.
  • Manages and optimizes the budget to deliver against Company’s and portfolio’s key priorities.
  • Works as part of the Trade Marketing team to own the In Store execution part of the Commercial 5Ps’ strategy; Owns the 5th P “POS” strategy and execution.
  • Leads the end-to-end POS Materials process from request, checks the financials, identifies the right vendors, workingworkiworks with the agencies and the Marketing/Creative teams to get the creatives, and works with POS Materials manufacturer and partners to produce and deliver them.
  • Ensures POS Materials quality, project tracking, and execution.
  • Works closely with supply chain and procurement team for vendor selection and management.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree In Marketing, Communications, Design or related field
  • 7+ years’ prior experience in Visual Merchandising, Category Management, Shopper Marketing or Trade Marketing in the CPG industry
  • Previous experience managing a team
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams with a customer-focused mindset; able to build a strong network to help deliver projects and results efficiently
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Strong understanding of Brand Visual Identity, Messaging and Placement principles
  • Ability to apply Category Management principles to drive overall category growth by focusing on growing the entire category, not just individual brands
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and solve problems proactively, with a bias for action and the agility to deliver solutions quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Strategic thinking and strong follow through; takes initiative to do what’s needed for the business; thinks and acts as an owner of the business to drive projects to closure while escalating potential barriers
  • Strong project management skills and operational discipline: Works with end results in mind, plans and follows through, meets deadlines, manages multiple/shifting priorities
  • Willingness to learn from others, accept feedback and act upon coaching given

 

We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, skills and in comparison to internal incumbents currently in similar roles. Pay Range: $120,000 - $135,000 salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role. In addition, Wella Company provides a rich variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
