THE ROLE
The Demand Planning Sr Mgr is responsible for leading pre-S&OP process, overseeing forecasting team and ensuring proper process in place to support the NA Professional Beauty business growth. The goal is to consistently deliver an unbiased and accurate Brand and code level forecast to hit AOP Net Revenue goals and support proper product supply planning. The demand plan is the foundation of the Sales & Operations Planning process and critical to drive business sufficiency vs targets, product availability for our Customers, and inventory planning for efficient Cash management. The demand process includes analyzing past actuals, leveraging statistical models, and integrating initiative & business intelligence.
The DP Sr Manager must be able to develop and lead the Demand Planning team for performance, values based culture, and personal growth/development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role you will be responsible for:
Essential Functions:
- Create and lead a high performing team to deliver business/team goals and results.
- Develop highly collaborative partnership with Commercial NA teams as well as within the Supply Chain 0 especially Market Planning team, Global DP and the Planning Hub.
- Leverage technical and business knowledge to challenge and influence Commercial teams, especially Sales and Brand partners.
- Lead performance tracking and Root Cause Analysis to enable continuous improvement.
- Influence and optimize the use of statistical models with integrated market intelligence for Initiatives and Commercial activities.
- Maintain quality and consistency of key forecast changes and Risks & Opportunities
- Additional tasks, duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
- Supply Chain, Business or Engineering Degree
- 5 years experience in Demand or/and Supply Planning
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrate ability to create and lead high performing teams to deliver team goals and results. Demonstrate ability to lead and influence peers and hierarchy.
- Collaboration Skills: Ability to work collaboratively across different styles. Develop strong partnerships. Must be able to work well with people not physically collocated.
- Communication skills: Ability to communicate clearly, transparently, concisely, and on a timely basis with leadership. Comfortable with dealing with conflict and issue resolution
- Capability Builder: Ability to coach and grow people not directly working for you. Demonstrate ability to build mastery. Individual should be seen as a strong team player.
- Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and organizational/time management skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Aptitude for problem solving and Goal orientated and results driven.
- Proficient computer knowledge – MS Word, Excel spreadsheet and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading a team / building capability in others
- CPG or Beauty industry experience
We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, skills and in comparison to internal incumbents currently in similar roles. Pay Range: $105,000 - $130,000 salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role. In addition, Wella Company provides a rich variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
