ABOUT THE JOB
As Brand Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success for the brands OPI, WELLA (retail styling) & CLAIROL (retail hair-color). You will develop brand strategies for our six Northern Europe markets and ensure we recruit consumers at scale through innovative media and advocacy campaigns. You will work closely with our sales leaders for e-com, premium retail and retail to improve your brands’ channel strategies.
You will work closely with the headquarters in Geneva and the US with the cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives that effectively position our brand in the market. The role reports to the Head of Media and Retail Brands. Monitoring marketing trends and analyzing internal and competitor activities will be integral parts of your responsibilities to ensure we maintain a competitive edge.
Your key job responsibilities:
- Brand ownership: You will have full ownership of brand performance including managing the marketing budget and investment choices and annual price setting.
- Brand Strategy Development: Collaborate to develop comprehensive brand strategies aligned with company objectives and target audience preferences.
- Launch Execution: Collaborate to plan and execute product and commercial initiative launches for your brands.
- Marketing Campaign Execution: Plan and execute marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, print, and events, to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
- Omnichannel management: Assure all channels are aligned and build the brands in the same way, including to maximize brand visibility.
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify consumer trends, preferences, and competitive landscape. Analyse data to make informed decisions and recommendations for brand positioning and messaging.
- Data analysis: Analyze sales data to uncover opportunities to further grow the business
- Sales Cycle development: Work with the team to develop compelling brand messaging and activation for the quarterly sales cycle of the professional salon channel.
- Content Creation and Management: support the creation of content for various marketing materials, including website copy, social media posts, email campaigns, and advertising materials.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with multifunctional commercial teams on your brand plans – including Trade Marketing, Education, Sales, Supply, Media, Influencer, social any other teams to ensure brand consistency and alignment across all touchpoints.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track and analyze the performance of marketing initiatives and campaigns. Prepare regular reports to evaluate the effectiveness of branding efforts and identify areas for improvement.
- People management: 1 Brand Manager.

- Have experience with from larger media and influencer strategies, e-commerce business and omnichannel strategies. Experience from strategizing larger events is a plus, however you need to be a confident leader in this regard.
- Are highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Are creative with a strategic mindset to challenge status quo.
- Have a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in marketing, brand management or a similar role
- Are fluent in English – both spoken and written. One of the languages in the cluster (Nordic & BNL) is also valued but not a criteria.
- Have a bachelor degree in marketing, business or equivalent.
- You are willing to occasionally travel for customer meetings or to engage with the teams in our other offices, example Rotterdam and Geneva.
To succeed in this role you need to have the ambition to go beyond the expected and be based in the Stockholm area.
