The Finance Team delivers an effective finance support service to the business to strengthen decision-making by providing timely and accurate reporting and business information. The appropriate financial control framework facilitates improvements in the business, promotes the management of financial risk within the organization and meets increasing statutory and regulatory requirements.

The Role

As a FP&A Manager based in Canada, you will be instrumental in driving key business objectives. You will provide essential financial expertise and lead the end-to-end financial processes related to sales, Brand, and customer management. Your role will include financial analysis, strategic planning, and ensuring that financial strategies align with overall business goals.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership in CPG Finance: Lead the end-to-end process of business planning, strategy design, pricing strategy, investment ROI, cost control, and customer development across Canada. Oversee forecasting, month-end closing, and analytics.
  • Pricing Strategy Management: Drive harmonized pricing strategies across Canada and the US. Address discrepancies through corrective actions, working closely with global and local teams to ensure market consistency.
  • Business Performance Dashboards: Create innovative dashboards that clearly communicate business performance, identifying opportunities and risks.
  • Innovation Integration: Lead the successful integration of new innovations, ensuring alignment with pricing and 3N strategies. Address non-compliance proactively.
  • Strategic Financial Planning and Analysis: Provide valuable insights and commercial interpretations by synthesizing data from financial reports, sales, and distribution channels.
  • Trade Terms Implementation: Lead the implementation of trade terms in Canada, guiding the BCG plan and contributing to the development of a unified NA strategy.
  • Commercial Financing: Ensure that all commercial financing initiatives are aligned with strong financials and deliver healthy ROI.
  • Project Leadership: Lead project-based financial analyses, including go-to-market structural changes, work process optimizations, and new customer evaluations.

 

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; accounting qualifications are a plus.
  • Professional Certification: CPA designation.
  • Experience: At least 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in finance.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong analytical skills with expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, Power BI, and the ability to interpret financial and accounting principles.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with a proven track record of driving action and execution across cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and navigate complex business challenges with effective problem-solving.
