THE ROLE
The National Accounts Manager is responsible to develop and manage an Ontario full-service sales team and national account responsibility for our professional beauty business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accountable to deliver business targets in value (NIS, Net Gain) and distribution (retaining and growing existing customers and gaining competitive doors) within a defined budget.
- Demonstrate management skills and stewardship to support the team to reach individual targets. Adjust management style depending on individuals in the team.
- Responsible for recruitment, performance, and productivity of the team.
- Manage a team of 8 direct reports
- Deliver KPI’s accountable to set individual targets cascading from the Lead Team and ensure the team meets/exceeds business targets behind Gain and Grow
- Team Management: identify the Capability and Motivation of your team members and tailor your management approach to create an action plan for everyone. Expectation is to develop mastery in people development and implement protocol and standards.
- Operate with excellence; keep the team focussed on priorities, track KPIs, prioritize co-riding, lead sales meetings.
- Work cross-functionally to drive results (marketing, finance, operations)
- Strategic industry relationship; develop and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders and industry decision makers (ex. Key accounts, guest artists, schools etc.).
- Operate within budget and company guidelines. Act within financial stewardship (trade terms, company policies, compliance, etc.)
- Data & report: complete, analyze business reports, identify standard of excellence/gaps, and implement plans and actions.
- Use Frontline tools: ensure the entire team uses that suite of digital sales tools (Activate, Order, Visit, Wellastore).
- Create value for customers by leveraging programs such as Wella Rewards points.
- Deliver new initiatives and promotions to the team and create sell in and sell through tactics
- Manage all day-to-day business details such as team’s route planning, order entry, sales expenses, and budgets
- In the role of managing national accounts, create partnership programs which include the preparation monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts supported by the development of promotional calendars
- Work closely with customer service ensuring promotions executed within the given timelines.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics and develop improvement strategies improvements
- Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven track record in delivering outstanding sales results (min 5 years) in a business-to-business account management role or proven management track record in a sales team
- Strong leadership & Collaboration skills
- Interest in beauty industry. Experience in professional beauty industry is an asset.
- Strong skills on MS Office including Excel, PPT, Marketing, Finances and up to date on social media and digital
- Valid drivers license and willing to travel
