The Role:

 

The Global VP of Loyalty is a critical and senior leadership role responsible for launching a brand-enhancing, personalized, and innovative Loyalty capability.  We believe that Loyalty will be a critical competitive advantage to build even deeper relationships with salons, stylists, and consumers.  We seek a unique and talented individual who shares our vision and has limitless passion for creating the next generation of Loyalty within pro and consumer channels.  S/He will design, market, launch, scale, and operate this program as part of Wella’s customer and consumer-centric growth agenda.  

 

Reporting to the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer and working closely with the Wella leadership team, this individual keenly understands membership and loyalty design, consumer behavior, lifecycle marketing, financial modeling, product management, technology, and the immediate and long-term value generated through brand-right and differentiated loyalty offerings.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Loyalty 

  • Develop an inspiring, differentiated, brand-enhancing and profitable loyalty strategy and program, extending connections to the professionals and consumers we serve.
  • Show passion and relentless curiosity for our unique target market of salon owners and independent stylists and their needs, experiences, businesses, and journeys.  
  • Market, launch, and operate the program to deliver industry-leading lifetime value
  • Develop and execute partnership strategy.
  • Understand and leverage brand activations such as infuencer/social media, gamification, live events, and community.
  • Direct the build of capabilities in personalization, digital product, UX/UI excellence, and data-driven measurement, including extensive A/B testing.  
  • Build outstanding cross-functional relationships to co-create the best outcomes for customers and consumers.
  • Model, track, and improve enterprise, financial, customer/consumer, and operational KPIs.

 

Team and people:

    • Build, lead, manage, and inspire a high-performing team of top talent 
    • Craft and lead a matrixed global and cross-functional org across multiple complex projects 
    • Drive a lean,“start-up” culture of accountability

 

Qualifications and Qualities:

 

  • 10-15+ years of Loyalty and leadership experience in compelling consumer brands
  • Experience with products AND services, and professional channels
  • Prove track record of building, scaling, and managing Loyalty programs, primarily through periods of rapid growth
  • Entrepreneurial with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude, comfortable with ambiguity, energized by great customer and consumer outcomes
  • Strong intellectual horsepower, relentlessly data-driven, with excellent quantitative, financial, and analytic skills
  • Exceptional communication skills; ability to distill complexity into crisp, easily comprehensible, and compelling messaging; capacity for storytelling 
  • A successful track record of building multi-dimensional partnerships that create value for customers and, ultimately, both companies involved
  • Excellent collaborator and teammate

 

 

We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Pay Range: $300,000-350,000 base salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role. In addition, Wella Company provides a rich variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance, life, and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
