External Operations Planning Expert

ABOUT THE ROLE 

The purpose of the External Operations Planning Expert role is to deliver best-in-class service to Wella markets by cooperation with Wella Third Party Manufacturers, establishing effective partnership and long-term collaboration. 

You will join the Global Supply Chain Planning Team, which plays a critical role in product delivery to Wella customers. We collaborate cross-functionally and influence optimal decisions on service, cost, cash, and innovation. We continuously evolve and elevate work process standards and daily operate in a multi-cultural context. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

  • Order finishing goods and components from our key TPMs according to forecast to satisfy expected level of service and product availability for our markets. 

 

  • Participate in new product launches and phase-in/phase-out management. 

 

  • Closely monitor Key Performance Indicators for your TPMs: On Time In Full, service level for your portfolio, inventory level.  

 

  • Drive root-cause and action plan in case results are below target. 

 

  • Work closely with Operations team to resolve capacity constraints material outage, and to improve responsiveness of your TPM. 

  • Be the key point of contact for your TPM, representing the full team, and be responsible for joint effort to improve and optimize planning processes. 

 

  • Own departmental/cross-departmental business processes with the goal to develop and standardize best practices within your team. 

 

  • Support cross-functional projects and initiatives as subject-matter expert, working together with other supply chain functions on transformational activities. 

 

  • Lead and contribute to supply chain set-up of your TPM by owning supply chain parameters set-up in ERP systems. 

 

 

WHAT WE WANT YOU TO BRING ALONG 

  • Min. 3 years of experience in supply chain planning 

  • Proficient English, both written and spoken 

  • Proven record of analyses of complex data sets and processes, and of presenting the outcomes (including to leadership), driving the decision-making process  

  • Good interpersonal skills to influence peers and stakeholders at different organizational levels 

  • Ability to define gaps and drive cross-functional action plans for issue resolution, risk mitigation and business improvements 

  • Ability to work with MS Office tools on a very good level (mainly Excel)  

  • Ownership, autonomy, and accountability for results within the given scope 

  • Priority-setting skills and efficient work organization in a dynamic business environment 

  • Growth mindset, with focus on solutions, improvements, and constant learning 

  • Resilience to frequent changes in the supply chain 

  • Ability to think and understand quickly, and to adjust plans and actions to the changing circumstances 

  • Experience in MRP systems, preferred (but not limited to) BY and SAP ECC  

  • (nice-to-have) Experience in cooperation with suppliers and external manufacturing 

  • (nice-to-have) Manufacturing, logistics or market planning experience
