ABOUT THE ROLE
The purpose of the Global Material Master Expert role is to ensure seamless execution of business projects that involve or bring changes to material master data used in Supply Chain and Reporting processes in the local Business Units, Finance, Procurement, Quality, Warehouse & Transportation in EMEA and across the globe. On top, Global Material Master Expert is accountable for complex issue resolution, advanced capability-building, and guidance on best practices around data in scope.
You will join the Master Data Team, who believes that when data is well-defined, efficiently created, correct, available, and trustworthy, it can power the growth of the Company. We strive to be the center of excellence around data for the major Wella global and local business functions: Supply Chain, Customer Service, Sales, Trade Marketing, Finance and Procurement. We operate in three main areas: regular data operations, project management, and data governance.
WHAT YOU WILL DO

Provide expertise and support to business projects in the areas of Supply Chain, Finance, Manufacturing, Reporting, IT, Procurement and Logistics.

Perform risk and impact assessment, prepare project action plans and execute them with excellence.

Contribute to design phases of business projects by recommending best approaches from MD perspective.

Test new MD processes, systems & tools, report defects and monitor their resolution.

Prepare guidance for updates of work processes and documentation, and train end users to ensure smooth change implementation.

Closely cooperate with Project Leaders, Business Process Experts (Procurement, Finance, Logistics), and peers & stakeholders from cross-functional teams: MD, Supply Chain, IT, R&D and Quality.

Provide support and guidelines for optimizing complex operational MD tasks.

Perform data quality checks to ensure data is compliant with the global standards and execute data cleansing activities.

Perform configurations in SAP ECC/MDG and execute health checks and updates if required.

Prepare complex data reports and analyses using SAP ECC/MDG, MS Excel and other internal tools, and present conclusions, recommending the best approaches and influencing the decision-making process.

Solve and define root-causes of complex system- and process-related issues reported by MD Specialists.

Lead training sessions to MD Specialists and other cross-functional teams to build capability about material master data processes and tools.

Drive own improvement projects to contribute to the strategic plan of growing the team and the Supply Chain organization.

Back up Master Data operational team in exceptional cases through the maintenance and control of material master data in SAP ECC/MDG
WHAT WE WANT YOU TO BRING ALONG

Min. 3 years of experience in data management or supply chain

Understanding of E2E master data workflows and links to supply chain processes
-
Experience with SAP system (preferably material maintenance transactions, SAP MDG)

Proven record of analyses of complex data sets and processes, and of presenting the outcomes (including to leadership), driving the decision-making process

Fluent English, both written and spoken

Mastery of MS Office tools, especially Excel

(nice-to-have) Proven record of successful contribution to business projects
