THE ROLE
HR Operations Intern with English and German
This internship role will be part of Wella’s People Operations Centre and will support the People Operations Leader for our DACH region.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
• Support in payroll and HR administration processes for our DACH region, working closely with the local People Team and People Operations Leader.
• Assisting in preparing employment documentation, such as contracts, starter packs, leaver letters and employee changes.
• Support with mobility-related documentation for international assignments.
• Data entry and updates in People systems (e.g., starters, leavers, changes, leave management), ensuring accuracy of employee information.
• Day‑to‑day collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth payroll cycles.
• Supporting initiatives to improve People Operations processes across the Country Cluster.
• Assisting in the management of the People Inbox, handling queries and escalating when needed.
• Supporting with benefits administration and reporting in line with local guidelines.
• Helping with annual processes such as salary increases, bonuses, and relocation payments.
• Cooperating with the outsourced payroll provider, ensuring timely submission of required information.
• Supporting compliance with internal audit standards and local legal requirements.
• Assisting in responding to employee questions regarding payroll, HR administration, and benefits.
• Cooperation with Finance on monthly payroll reconciliations and data updates.
WHAT WE WANT YOU TO BRING ALONG
• Interest in HR, Payroll or People Operations and willingness to learn in a fast‑paced international environment.
• Fluent German (at least B1) and English (B2, written and spoken).
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
Nice to Have:
• Basic understanding of payroll or HR administration.
• Experience with any HRIS or payroll tools (ADP, SuccessFactors, or similar).
• Previous internship in HR would be an advantage.
